CHAPTER ONE: INTRODUCING ZERA
Zera was working part time on a small bakeshop in her town while continuing her education.Although she comes from a poor family,Zera did all her best to help her parents support the family.With the love her parents gave to her and the support she got from her rich best friend Andrea,Zera treated her everyday like a blessing.She never thought that her life would change dramatically.
Andrea got on a car accident after she saw her boyfriend kissing with another girl in a bar.She died when she reached the hospital and that broke Zera's heart into pieces.
She cried and cried during the funeral and vowed to make the man who hurts her best friend pay with everything he had.
"Auntie,did Rea told you anything before she died?",Zera asked Andrea's mom after they finished with the funeral.
"No,dear.My daughter was so secretive with her relationship.All we know is that she was already engaged to Nikko the day before and..and...",Aunt's words was almost inaudible because of her crying.
"Is anything wrong with the engagement,Auntie?",Zera asked again as she began to get suspicious.
"No,nothing.Uhmm do you want to see her room? We'll see if you could find things you like in their and take them with you.That's the only thing your best friend left",auntie avoided the question and dried her tears trying all her might to look strong even for that moment.And hopefully,Zera didn't dig more.
Zera nodded thinking it was a good idea and headed to Andrea's old room.She looked around hoping to find something.A big box full of jewelries,her walk in closet with branded clothes didn't took her attention at all.A small box on the bedside table aroused her curiosity.
"I wonder what this letters are for",Zera said to herself as she unfold every letter that she found inside the box.Strange thing is that the letters were all addressed to "Sunflower" whom she never heard of.
But before she could read the letters,Aunt came rushing like she was afraid or something.
"Zera,quick.I need you help.Please",aunt said shoving her into the walk in closet.
"What's wrong,auntie?",Zera asked with a confused look on her face.
"Can you help us this one time?For the sake of the old friendship you and my daughter have?",aunt pleaded .
"Auntie,I can't understand when you were saying like that".
"I'll explain to you later but for now,I need you downstairs.Nikko and his grandfather is here.And we might get into trouble if you don't help us,Zera",aunt replied while rummaging through Andrea's unused clothes.
Zera didn't asked anymore and tried on the crimson red dress aunt gave to her.With aunt's help,she did her simple make up in no time and was looking so beautiful.Zera also wanted to meet this Nikko whom her best friend died for.
They went downstairs and Zera was in awe of what she saw.
