Chapter 1: The birth of King
It was the night of a full moon. On this night a wolf who was like no other was born, the wolf was given the name King. On this night the packing order changed, King's father was the alpha of the pack. Rio challenged King's father for the position of alpha and won. It was the night King was born but also the night King became fatherless.
Two months after King was born, he went with his mother and the pack to hunt. As the pack of wolves were hunting a bull separated from the herd, the pack ran into the king of the jungle, Leon. Leon wanted the prey the pack caught but Rio the alpha of the pack couldn't give away the prey they struggled to catch. The pack of wolves attacked Leon but they were defeated one by one. The wolves outnumbered Leon but he is bigger, stronger and faster than them. As they were tearing each other apart, Lily, King's mother told King to run away as fast as he could. King ran and ran and ran, and never looked back until he could not run anymore, and then finally lost consciousness and dropped down on the ground. A shadow-like figure was the last thing he saw before closing his eyes.
Days passed and then King finally woke up, the worry he had for his mother was the only thing he was concerned about so he didn't realize that he wasn't alone in the cave where he woke up form. A hard and chilling voice came from deep inside the cave, "I see you are finally awake". King got startled, jumped up and growled at the figure he saw inside the cave. He was thought to be careful around others except for the pack but he didn't trust anyone except for his mother. "No need to be so cautious, boy", the voice came closer and closer as the figure moved towards King. King was on edge but he knew he wouldn't be able to do anything if the figure had bad intentions, so he sat down and stopped growling. The figure became visible and it was a wolf, but this wolf was not the kind King knew of, it was a wolf as white as snow, King and his pact were brown and black. The white wolf took King in and raised him.
Two years later. King was big and was used to hunting with the white wolf. The white wolf taught King how to survive in the forest and how to hunt for food. King was a natural at hunting and he learned everything from the white wolf. "I taught you everything and now there is no reason for me to be looking after you anymore..." before the white wolf could continue King interrupted,"that's right, I don't need you anymore so this is where we part ways, see you Mister". The white wolf was surprised at the fact that he wasn't surprised by King's response because he knew that was just how King was, a composed and cold wolf. And so King and the white wolf each went their separate ways, the white wolf smiled as he ran in the opposite direction as King because he knew that King was ready to survive on his own and that they were going to meet again.
As King ran he thought to himself about his future plans. He was a wolf without a pack, he knows he was in a pack but he doesn't know what happened to his pack. The only memory he has of when he belonged to a pack was of his mother telling him to run as the pack fought against that 'monster' and that is all he remembers. He found it strange that he knew it was his mother when he didn't have any other memory of her. King saw a groundhog and waited for the right moment to hunt it. He crouched and followed the groundhog to a river where the groundhog drank water, as it drank water King jumped from behind and bared his teeth into the groundhog's neck. He had food for the night and found a shelter not too far from the river. King sat under the moonlight and stared at the stars and thought to himself,"what do I have to do to reach those stars?".
King explored the part of the forest he was in and discovered that there was no one ruling the area he was in, so he decided to mark that as his territory. King had enough food and water as well as shelter but he felt that something was missing. So he went through his thoughts and realized not knowing what happened to his mother was bothering him and that was something that was something he had to deal with before becoming a star. So he left a life of comfort to look for his mother, he did not care about the pack. Then he thought about the father he can't remember and just convinced himself that if he finds the pack all his questions will be answered.
One week went by of looking for the pack and he still hasn't found any sight of other wolves. He gained more experience, and became faster and stronger as he hunted every prey he saw. As King was running and looking for clues, he found a scent that he wasn't familiar with. It was the scent of a pack of hahinas, but he didn't know at the moment. King followed the scent and saw the hahinas feeding on their prey, King stared at the hahinas and waited for it to get dark. The hahinas started to fall asleep one by one and that was when King started to hunt them. He killed the hahina he thought was the leader, the sounds of the hahina made as King was ripping his neck from his body, woke the rest of the hahinas up. The hahinas were confused about what was happening and King took advantage of their confusion and killed the hahinas one by one. One of the hahinas ran away and the other bit King by the stomach but King killed him. As King killed the last hahina, he stood across their bodies and said to himself,"it's not my time to become a star yet".
King ate until he was full and then took a nap until sunrise. At sunrise King ran for a few days until he caught a scent that was familiar to his. King followed the scent and found two wolves, he approached the wolves with caution and expected anything to happen, in the worst case he will have to kill them. King made his presence known to the two wolves and told them that he came in peace. The wolves were sceptical at first but when King gave them the prey he had caught, they let their guards down. The two wolves were omegas like King, the one that was the first to let his guard down is Fred and the one who ate the most is Jay. Fred and Jay told King about how they become omegas, they were banished from their pack because they had killed the alpha of their pack's son. They spoke a lot about themselves but didn't realize that King hadn't said anything about himself. King ate and decided to sleep, when Jay and Fred thought King was asleep they spoke between themselves about stealing King's prey.
King heard them and decided to ambush them while they were sleeping. King killed Jay first then Fred woke up, they fought and then Fred ran away. King chased him and that was when King ran into a pack of wolves so he stopped, the wolves surrounded King and then the alpha of the pack came forward with murderous intent, but as he came closer to King he realized that the scent coming from King was familiar and asked,"King?" with his voice shivering.
