Chapter Seventeen

It had been two weeks since Bella and Xavia had been visited by the moon goddess. Between training the pack and visiting the elementary school for story time. Bella was doing better. However, Xavia was still locked away behind her wall. The only time she would come out was to go for a run, even then she would not speak to anyone.
Samson had even tried getting through to her but it was no use. Finally, he decided to do the only thing he could think of. He missed his mate so he called upon their mother in order to get Xavia out of her shell.
Samson and Xavia stood in the field of dreams, surrounded by a dense forest. The crystal clear lake in the distance reflected the glow of the moon as they sat waiting for their mother to appear. They called her mother because while they were not brother and sister she had created both of them from the ether of life.
As they waited Xavia asked 'Samson why are we here?'. She had an idea why but asked anyway. Samson had all but begged her to come back to him. Xavia was simply tired of feeling as if her desires were meaningless to her mother.
Samson finally responded saying 'I miss you my love. You are the most important being in my life and I can not lose you forever. If all you need is to feel the joy of motherhood than I will help you fight for it. After all, I too would love for you to have my pup. To see you round with my child would be a blessing beyond all things.'
Xavia sighed nuzzling Samson's cheek as she did. Then she responded 'So it is not just Bella and I who wish to have your pup. I love you so very much Samson. You being sexy as hell is just a bonus.' Samson gave a wolfish chuckle as he said 'You my love are the sexy one.'
Selene stepped out of the forest, as he said that, smiling at her two favorite creations. They were the only two she had ever given an eternal mate. They bowed to her as she made her way toward them. "My children you do not need to bow.' she said. Then looking at Xavia she asked 'Why have you ignored my directive? Do you intend to allow my creations to die?"
Xavia quickly responded saying 'No mother, I am simply saddened that I will not be able to have pups. I have given my life so many times yet I have never been allowed to bring a life into being.' Selene frowned as she spoke saying "You know what is at risk. A pup would simply prevent you from focusing on the task at hand."
Samson cut in saying 'Mother forgive us but we have never survived a war. For two thousand years we have given our lives to save our kind. Having a pup would give us a reason to live. We would have a better chance of surviving the war.'
Xavia added 'It is all we have ever asked. As Samson said we have fought for our kind for the past two thousand years. In all that time we have never asked for anything.' then she asked 'Please allow us to have pups?'
Selene thought for a long moment before responding. Then she said "You are right you have fought and died for all of my children. As a reward I made you eternal mates. Even though, you did not ask. Allow me some time to think. You will have your answer in a moment." They both responded saying 'Thank you mother.'
They made their way to the lake as they waited. Sitting side by side they watched the kaleidoscope of colors coming off the lake. After a few moments Selene approached them. She stared upon the lake with a smile as she spoke saying "I will grant this request but I have two conditions." Xavia and Samson both spoke telling her 'Anything' Selene laughed saying "Alright first, your first pup must be Damien." They both grunted in frustration because, Damien while being a very strong wolf warrior was also annoyingly childish. Then they agreed.
Selene nodded then said "Secondly, my children must survive the war. Having said that I know you can not promise me no casualties but you must win the war."
Bella was on the training grounds working with the pack. When she suddenly became extremely hot. To the point that she almost fainted. That was when she heard Xavia say 'We need to get back to our room Now.' Bella was in shock 'What is going on and why haven't you been talking to me?' she asked. Xavia replied 'I will explain later. We are in heat get to our room NOW! I will contact Hanson and Samson. Go!'.
Bella jumped slightly at Xavia's tone but took off like a shot toward their room. Xavia linked Samson telling him to meet them in their room. That they had gone into heat. She heard Samson's excited response as they entered the room and locked the door. Bella asked 'What now are they on their way?'
'Yes, they're almost here we should unlock the door.' Xavia told her. This was going to be a long week.
