BLOOD WOLF: VOLUME ONE

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Etheria Reoch woke up to the sound of the alarm clock. As with every morning she needed to get breakfast ready before her mate headed to the training field and her children went to school.

As she made her way to the kitchen she felt like she was being watched. There was definitely a powerful presence in the house. Reaching the bottom of the stairs she turned to find not one but two extremely beautiful women sitting in the living room.

Etheria immediately dropped to her knees. She was in awe of the women in front of her. Gaia stepped forward placing her hand on Etheria's right shoulder. While Selene placed her hand on Etheria's left shoulder as she said "Please, our beautiful child rise. We must speak with you."

The three of them had just taken seats around the living room when Silas made his way down the stairs. The moment he saw them he bowed his head and began to lower himself to the floor. Gaia put out her hand saying "No need for that child. You may sit with your mate." Silas nodded absent mindedly as he sat next to Etheria on the loveseat.

Gaia spoke because neither Etheria or Silas were able to. After all it wasn't everyday that you wake up to find not one but two goddesses in your home. Looking at Etheria with her stunning blue-green eyes she said "My beautiful daughter, you are more beautiful than ever. I know you have kept your true heritage secret. However, you must share it."

Then she looked at the clock on the wall. Without even a word time stopped. Returning her attention to them she spoke "This will take a bit." Before nodding to Etheria to speak. Sighing Etheria turned to Silas saying "You know that I love you, don't you."

He looked into her green eyes as he nodded then he asked her to continue. After taking a deep cleansing breath she said "I am not an omega. My father was Alpha Ewan Reoch." Then she lowered her head trying to hide the silent tears that were beginning to fall before adding "My mother is the sorceress Evanora."

She began to sobb as Silas did what she had expected him to. He gasped as he quickly stood and backed away from her. It was well known that Alpha Reoch had been cursed by Evanora for betraying her. They were mates but he rejected her because of his hatred for all things magical. What no one knew was that his wolf had claimed her before he rejected her.

Etheria's mother had placed a powerful protection spell on her when she was born. It had hidden her power from everyone as well as kept her safe when Evanora was forced to leave her with a pack as an omega orphan. Etheria didn't know the truth until she turned thirteen.

Evanora knew that Etheria's secret would be discovered upon her first shift so she visited her daughter in secret. After telling her everything she gave Etheria an amulet that she was to wear at all times. In order to hide her Alpha status, as well as, provide further protection against any and all magic.

As Etheria continued to cry and Silas simply stood staring at her Selene spoke up saying "Etheria calm yourself dear. We must discuss Sly and Serena." That seemed to snap Silas out of his stupper. He demanded "What about my children? What have you done to my children?" Gaia stood anger clear in her voice as she ordered him to sit down. "Your Children are fine. They are more powerful than you could ever hope to be."

Silas sat down not saying another word. So Selene began to explain why they were there. "What we must discuss is vital. You are aware that I have sent Xavia back as your Luna." They both nodded as she continued "That was not an accident. There is a war coming. It could wipe out all werewolves. So, because of this my sister and I must ask that you prepare Sly and Serena for battle."

Both Silas and Etheria gawked at Selene. Finally Etheria spoke saying "But they are only eight years old. They won't even be able to shift until they are fourteen. They don't even have my abilities." Gaia arched a brow and smirked saying "They don't?" Selene cut in adding "They will shift on the new moon." Silas gasped "That is only one week away. They are too young to survive that."

Gaia rolled her eyes as she looked at Selene asking "Why would you give her such a simple mate sister?"

Silas scowled at the earth goddess for her comment. As Selene responded "Understanding the abilities of the gods and goddesses is not a warriors place. He is not simple especially in the ways of war." Gaia simply sighed then said "I guess you are right sister, my apologies." Then turning back to the couple sitting on the loveseat she explained "I have been watching over you your entire life Etheria. I know you have secretly trained to use your powers. It is time you remove your amulet. Sly and Serena are far more powerful than you could imagine. When they shift they will need their abilities in order to survive. You must train them." Selene cut in again saying "Your Luna will also need your assistance in learning to control her abilities. Especially her ability to focus sonic waves."

Silas stood again pacing as he asked "How much danger will we be in if we do this?" Again Gaia rolled her eyes turning to Selene she asked "Does he not realize that we will protect them? Is it not obvious that we want them to succeed?" Selene simply smiled as she answered Silas saying "We will be with you through all of this. Do you honestly believe we would allow anyone to harm the Gemini twins?"

Etheria's hand shot over her mouth. The Gemini twins were a long awaited prophecy. "How?" she asked looking at Selene. Selene smiled brightly responding "That is why your mother kept you hidden. They are your destiny." Silas was yet again lost. He had never heard the prophecy of the Gemini twins but he was about too.
