BLOOD WOLF: VOLUME ONE

CHAPTER FOUR

They sat there for a long moment. Neither saying a word. Hanson finally answered her question telling her "I don't know what to say first. I mean I thought The Bloodwolf was a myth. Samson never stopped telling me about Xavia. I told him he was dreaming. Now I have to listen to him say "I told you so." Bella smirked at him arching an eyebrow as if to say oh yeah. While Hanson went on to ask "Is the myth actually true?"

Bella was a bit surprised but answered "Partly, she is a blood red wolf with glowing blue eyes. She is also very powerful however, not a mass murderer. Xavia was created as a super soldier. At least that is what she told me. Apparently there is a war coming. I don't know when, though, it could be tomorrow or ten years from now. It's why she was sent back. I just happened to be the one to get her." She said the last part while rolling her eyes.

After that Bella stood up asking "I am starving, would you like something to eat?" That reminded him about his take out. s**t he had forgotten all about the food when he met Bella. Finally he told her "s**t I forgot my food at the restaurant. Yes I would." Bella smiled "So you met Kristen." she said. He looked at her in question so she added "She's the waitress who wears too much perfume." Hanson scrunched his nose in the cutest way. Then said "Yeah, we met."

They continued talking as she cooked a quick dinner. Once it was finished she joined him back at the table. Setting a plate of grilled chicken fijitas in front of him. "This looks amazing." he said.

She thanked him as she sat back down. Then he asked "So, where did you grow up?" She told him "Here and there, We've been on our own since we were fourteen." Then before he could say anything she asked "What about you?" He wanted to ask why they were on their own but thought better of it. So instead he said "Near Rokeby, Nebraska. My father was the Alpha of our pack."

Bella looked a little surprised as she asked "What are you doing all the way out here?"

Responding he said "My pack has out grown our territory. I'm here looking for new property." Bella nodded as she took another bite of fajita. As she waited for him to finish chewing she thought about what to ask next. That, of course, was when Xavia decided to say 'Ask what he looks like naked.' Bella's face turned bright red as she responded 'I will not, shut up.'

Then she asked him "How, tall are you?" He smiled broadly saying "Six foot six." then asked "How tall are you?" Bella still had some color in her cheeks as she answered "Six foot one." She hadn't been lying when she said he was gorgeous. In spite of everything she wanted nothing more than to run her hands through his shoulder length, blonde, hair while staring into his gorgeous hazel eyes.

He truly was an Adonis with his strong jaw and chiseled body. He literally could have been carved from stone. She cleared her throat because somehow her mouth had gone dry. Then she asked "So, how long will you be in town?" He told her "Well I found the perfect property today. We will be here for another week before heading back to Nebraska." She nodded then said "Okay, well we hope we'll see you again when you move here."

Hanson was confused. He thought she understood he meant she was going back with him. He said "You are coming to Nebraska with me. I am not leaving you behind and I am not rejecting you." Bella looked at him in shock. He couldn't be serious they had work. Plus they weren't going all the way to Nebraska just to be rejected because his pack was scared of them. Voicing her thoughts she said "We are not going to Nebraska with you. Xavia and I have to work. Your pack might not even want us. We are not going all the way out there just to be rejected because of your pack. Seriously, our own pack tried to kill us. They did kill our mother. Werewolves fear us because of that damn myth. We can't do it, even humans are intimidated by us. You're an Alpha though, so you wouldn't understand."

He growled at just the thought. No way was he going to let anything happen to them. His pack be damned. Hanson said "No one will ever hurt you. I will f*****g kill them all." Bella noticed that Samson was speaking. There eyes had become a bright red and his voice was the one she first heard at the grocery store. Only this time it was a deathly calm almost whisper.

She replied "Alright, well that's a bit unnecessary. I mean I was trained by our pack's lead warrior. Before everything happened at least. Besides you said you were coming back." Samson linked Xavia 'Tell your human that You are coming with us.' Xavia relayed the message causing Bella to sigh. "What pack did you belong too?" Hanson asked. Bella frowned saying "Shadow Mountain"

Then added "According to Xavia we are coming with you. She says if we don't Samson will destroy the world." she told him frustration clear in her voice.

Hanson smirked linking Samson he said 'Thank you.' Samson immediately replied 'No problem, I am not letting them out of our sight. They are our's!" After finishing dinner he helped Bella clean up before saying "Samson wants to sleep next to you tonight. He says he isn't letting you out of our sight." Bella glared at him telling him "You are Not, you are not sleeping here. We have been taking care of ourselves just fine."

That didn't seem to matter so Hanson slept on the couch.
