CHAPTER FIVE

The next morning as Bella made her way into the living room. Hanson turned to look at her. He didn't look like he had slept at all. Even though his hair was disheveled from laying down. He was staring at her but not saying anything. "Are you hungry?" she asked him before turning toward the kitchen. Bella had never been one to ask stupid questions. It was obvious he hadn't slept although, she wasn't sure why he was staring at her. Hanson replied with a quick "Yes" before standing to follow her. Opening the refrigerator Bella pulled out the ingredients to make two omletes. Before walking to a cabnit next to the sink. From there she got two potatoes and the loaf of bread. She started a pot of coffee and began making breakfast. Feeling Hanson's eyes follow her every move. Finally, she turned to him asking "Why are you staring at me?" Hanson blinked before responding "You don't know how stunningly beautiful you are, do you?" Bella turned back around before he could see her blush. Knowing that her cheeks probably matched Xavia's hair at the moment. She had always had more guy friends then girls. None of them had ever called her stunning. They usually just treated her like one of the boys. Hanson continued saying "Also I am twenty seven so I had given up on finding my mate." Bella hummed as she continued cooking. "Well I am twenty nine so you aren't alone in that. Also I fully expected you to reject us. I never thought anyone would want us as a mate." she told him with all seriousness. He was more than a little shocked. He somewhat understood her expectation of rejection. However, she looked far younger than twenty nine. She obviously took great care of herself. When the coffee finished brewing she told him where the cups where. Asking him to pour the coffee while she finished the food. He did thinking about how normal he felt being with her. Almost as if they had been together forever. Samson grumbled saying 'Well Xavia and I have been together for eight hundred years or, did you forget that part. I mean she just mentioned that last night." Samson was rolling his eyes in the back of their mind. Hanson responded with his own eye roll saying 'Yes I caught that but Isabella and I just met.' Samson grumbled 'Why can't I have a smarter human side?' he actually sounded fairly sad about it. They were pulled from their conversation when Bella said "Okay the food is ready." They ate breakfast with light conversation. Although, Hanson drank more than half of the coffee himself. He usually didn't drink much coffee. The couch was just too small to sleep on for his height. No matter how hard he tried he just couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep. When they had finished eating. Hanson helped her clean up before saying "I need to go speak to a lawyer about the property purchase." then he asked "Are you doing anything later?" Bella quirked a brow asking "It is still Sunday right?" When Hanson confirmed it was. Bella put her hand to her chest looking relieved "Oh, thank the goddess. I thought we had entered a time warp." Hanson laughed saying "I paid more for a Sunday visit. By the way you and Samson will get along well." Bella smiled saying "No I am doing nothing but vegitating today. It's my first day off this week. Why?" Hanson nodded asking "Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?" Samson broke in saying 'Never again. We are never going back there again.' Hanson couldn't help but smile replying 'I promise we will go somewhere else. I don't want to go back there either.' After a moment Bella agreed telling him "We would love to." Hanson had realized Bella always said we or us. Never me or I so he asked "Just out of curiosity. Why do you always say we or us instead of me or I?" Bella thought he understood that a human and their wolf were two halves of a whole. They were basically the same being. So, why would he ask that she thought, looking more than a little confused, she said "We are connected. Xavia is as much me as I am her. No matter where I am she's with me. So we would love to have dinner with you." Hanson had never in his life considered it that way. He had always seen he and Samson as two separate beings. Not once realizing that they were far from separate. He asked "How did you learn that?" Bella was still a bit confused how didn't he know that. Finally, she replied "It's something I was taught when I was younger. My mother had insisted I be trained by the lead warrior. He taught me that all of us are two parts of one being. Neither the wolf nor the human could live with out the other. It is a symbiotic relationship. So while we are two separate personalities, we are only one person. Plus we've lived on our own for fifteen years." Feeling like a complete i***t Hanson cleared his throat saying "Well I need to leave but if you don't mind I will be here at seven to pick you up." "That sounds good, see you then." she told him as he stepped out the door. He turned with a huge smile. Wanting desperately to kiss her. He asked "I don't suppose I could get you to come with us. Samson is "upset" we're leaving with out you." She laughed "We will be fine Samson. I promise" Xavia linked him 'Hurry up and go so you can come back. We'll be okay. I love you Samson." Samson grumbled but they left for the lawyers office. Bella just smiled shaking her head as she closed the door. She immediately flopped down on the couch. Grabbing the remote she turned out the television. Hanson climbed into to his car. As he turned it on he couldn't help thinking about all that Bella had told him. He was going to have to find out more about the Shadow Mountain pack. They would pay for what they did to her. He had been so angry listening to her story. It took every ounce of control he had not to growl at every turn. No one deserved what she had been through. Though, he had to admit to himself that he was a little scared when he found out she was the Bloodwolf. Even though, he had never believed the myth was true. Finding out it was at least partially true was a bit scary. Hanson knew he was a control freak. He also knew that he had a dominant, take charge attitude. How was he going to handle having a mate that was stronger and more powerful than him. Samson interceded saying 'Don't worry buddy. I'll help you out. Oh and again I told you so.'
