I couldn't help but smile at how surprised she was to seeing me cooking. I had always kind of liked to see the shocked look on peoples faces. That I had this thing I did that surprised people. I guess to them it seemed out of character, but it was a big part of me, of who I was. Food was comforting, we need food to survive, and I like being able to make people happy in that way. Some of the best conversations happen over a dinner table. Something about sharing a meal just puts you at ease.   "Can I help?" She asked.   I turned around and shook my head.
