PROLOGUE.
One of the most painful things on earth is to lose a loved one.
Whether in death or heartbreak. It's a pain different from all others.
You feel every burn, every ache, your senses awaken, and greedily await a memory to sip in and then wreck your entire being.
She took everything.
His Light.
His Heart.
His Soul.
It had no end.
For years it went on like it would never end.
But, it did.
He ended it all.
Just in passing, a normal day, a day like every other, but it was the day, his heart danced truly and his chest tighten as if a fierce wind had passed by, blending with his soul, leaving a suffocating feeling in his chest, a choking sensation in his throat, there was a pressure making it hard to breathe.
He had thin lips and was lightly colored, like a flower. He craved their sweetness, all of it. It doesn't matter if he was a part of this world or the one he had never heard of. The peace he restored was once stolen from him.
Now that he has him, everything in the world makes sense to him. He became intoxicated with every scowl, laugh and nibble, each and every move of his mythical creature.
His heartbeat, his warmth, his scent, they were all medicine that soothed his pain and burning heart.
"When you return to the seas, please, take my heart and soul with you so you will remember to return to me in one piece. If you don't, then I die."
His tail, as cold as ice, and yet as smooth as satin.
His silver long hair and piercing mint green pupil, his tail that twinkles like stars striped on a mint green satin.
He was his Tide and he would chase him until the end of the world.

"My heart has heated for the human and my blood has flown for him. Every time I thought of him, my heart would ache. It would ache so much I couldn't breathe, the feeling of despair, yet sweetness... Even so, I still couldn't stop thinking about him."
So...this is how it feels to love a person.
"Alexander, I like you, I have fallen for you and I never regretted meeting you at all."
"I belong to you, just as this merman belongs to the seas. Like a falling leaf belongs to its roots."
"Nothing can stop me from falling into your embrace."

When all others forsook him. When even the one he had loved and trusted the most betrayed him. Only a lowly human stood by him. Loved him and desired him truly.
They found each other. Healed each other and belonged to each other. It doesn't matter if his fate collides with that of Atana. He will fight for what he believes in. For the one he loves. No one understood what Atana felt and why she sacrificed so much for her human better than he did now.
He had judged her wrongly.
"I love you, Alexander. I love you the most."
