Chapter 41 Lucien followed Henry back into the living room and past Eve, sitting on the couch staring at the wall opposite her, her expression blank. He resisted the urge to go to her. Instead, he flexed his jaw and his fists to the pain burning inside his chest. She had asked for space, and so he was going to give it to her, no matter how badly he wanted to comfort her.
