"Wake up, my lady!"
A voice broke out right next to my ears, leaving them ringing. My lips twitched in annoyance and I felt like smashing something. My legs were shaking from some sort of force, and a sweet and refreshing scent was enveloping. AT that moment, my eyes opened. Oh, I knew I was going to rot in hell if I wasted such a good chance. The chance to feel the feel the savoury flavour, the energy it has, and its smell. FOOD!!
It was finally here. My god, it probably would have never occurred to me that I would be eating food in a palace, much less with royals. Well, I had come a long way. I totally deserved this. Or..... not. The door burst open with a kind and gentle wind, carrying three lethal spears along with it.
My eyes widened, but I knew I couldn't dodge them. I stood, like a deer staring at headlights. I was a goner. Well, I didn't exactly think that. That would've been plain stupid. I thought with a 99% that it would stop. But you know when adrenaline rushes rushes through you, even that 1% chance is deadly. and that is exactly what happened.
Oh boy, those weapons hit. They didn't take mercy at all. They were unhesitant.
"Why did you not dodge? I was about to kill you, you know," A voice interrupted my death sentence. Man, this voice was just starting to annoy me now. Blue eyes, a black furry coat, with an emblem of a vampire and a phoenix standing side by side. It was a nice contrast. I mean you don't hear of such contrasts easily.
"You sick psycho," I paused, glaring at him "what are you doing here?" I was up now, the maids were cowering in fear behind me, and the guards were faring even worse. They had lost it from the get-go, letting out a yellow disgusting odour. I scrunched my nose in anger. How could men be such wimps in this place?
"I'm hurt. You shouldn't be calling people that, much less me." I gritted my teeth. He showed no remorse for pulling something like that. Suddenly, I felt an all too familiar feeling. My feet were slowly leaving the floor, and even my hair was floating in little waves. I gasped loudly, slightly shocked at the deja vu this air magic was giving me. i tried to quickly jump off, but this time he didn't allow me to.
"Not this time," he said as quietly as possible but loud enough for me to hear. My eyes turned to huge saucers, when I understood what was going on. At the trajectory I was heading in, I would be in his arms by the time this ride finished. Half of me wanted that, definitely. But the other half knew that was a bad idea. Why? Because he had that evil and mischievous gaze. Again.
He smirked playfully, like a predator about to devour its prey. I shivered. The worst feeling you could possibly have in this world was helplessness. You try and try, but you know its definitely impossible to do anything. I whimpered and clenched my fists. My thoughts were cut short when a caramel scent came my way. "What are you thinking of?" He questioned, his thin lips right next to my now sensitive ears. I looked up and was thoroughly surprised. Gone were the eyes of a killer, replaced with gentle ones that exuded security.
"What do you want?" I spat out, making him form a barely visible frown on his face. i didn't care. There was no way I was letting down my guard. In the meantime we were having our eye war, I struggled in his arms to get out of his grip, but he was too strong. I was slowly getting frustrated when he quickly spoke, and shocked me.
"This." He smashed his lips down at me, and kissed me passionately. I kicked my legs, and even tried a flip, but he held me firmly in place. My hands that were the only leverage I had but that was taken away too. This time, it was a rope that bind me. I had no choice now. I tried to bite him on his lips, but it was no use. Even though a trail of blood was flowing down from the right side of his mouth, it didn't effect him. Either he didn't feel it, or he wasn't bothered to.
"Let. Me. Go!!" I yelled into the kiss, but it was as if I had wasted my breath. Only after a few more seconds I felt his breath running out. I sighed in relief and happiness. Finally, it was over. But instead of breaking it off, he became more aggressive. He didn't stop despite my pleas and desperation. Instead, to let me keep up with his pace, he decided to fuse my breath with air magic, preventing me from running out of breath.
I knew I had to break free. But how? Then it clicked. I smiled, and took it out of my ribbon, which was tied perfectly in my hair. Its small shape and size was perfect, and I even liked the colour. It was the famous 'pocket knife'. I slowly took it out, all the while keeping an eye out for him. Then I struck.
The blow took him by surprise. I chuckled and lowered the knife, hoping he wouldn't see it. He let me go in that instant and I jumped, landing in the bed. The softness made me stumble, and I ended up falling horribly, but not before seeing a shadow swiftly approaching me. He leaped onto me and snuggled in with me on the bed, rubbing his long nose up and down my neck.
I had had enough. This time i didn't show hesitance and jumped straight off the bed, in time to match his eyes. They were glowing red with an amused smile. I glared at him and huffed while stomping my feet. And i almost never did this. Something like losing my temper.
But I am so glad I did not explode from frustration. Because right then, the door swung open.
