Chapter 2 The beginning

- Cora’s P.O.v I opened my eyes but closed them again when everything surrounding me was white. I was in a dream but my instinct told me it was more than that, so impatiently I avoided it, thinking it was surrealistic. I tried telling myself to wake up, but I just couldn’t. At that moment I grew frustrated and screamed as loudly as I could. Something rumbled and I was clear – cut sure that that wasn’t my stomach. I looked up at the massive wings that were descending from above me. They were all chatting and kept looking at with sarcastic and disapproving looks. WHAT THE HELL? IT’S MY DREAM. SHOULDN'T THEY RESPECT ME? ‘They’re not going to”. Someone or something was speaking inside me and was connecting directly to my brainwaves. Honestly, it felt weird. The voice giggled then spoke again, ‘Oh, by the way, this is not a dream it is a confrontation to the spirits clan, a place which will be deciding your next destination.” I breathed once or twice before speaking, “Okay, so what’s the situation?” “Huh?” “I mean what’s the adventure in the plot?” “Phfft ha – hahaha! You think this is a dream, don’t you? Well, it will even more exceptional when you wake up.” I blacked out. I just couldn’t understand what was going on and hoped that I would wake up soon. I wanted to move my body, but I couldn’t. I wanted to open my eyes, but they weren’t willing. I felt uncomfortable, but a voice relaxed me. It was the same voice! So I assumed I was still dreaming until that moment. And when I say that moment trust me. You wouldn’t have ever have experienced anything like it. I woke up with a start, only to find myself somewhere between life and death. As usual, that morning I woke up stretching my hands. My arms always felt like a heavy burden which I didn’t want to lift but today something was off, so I looked around to see what happened. Before long I remembered the incident and gradually became aware of my surroundings. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Beneath me, everyone was crying as I held onto my last breath in the hospital bedroom. My siblings, cousins, aunties, and uncles were there including our guardian, Aunt Sara. Some of them were always the dramatic type, so I just ignored them. What horrified me more was something even more astonishing. I AM A GHOST. I thought to myself. All right, this is probably a joke from one of my friends, isn’t it? Yeah, that must be it. I started looking around and slowly believed it was not a joke. Beside me lay my five friends in beds which were surrounded by several people looking like their family.  Suddenly, a chill ran down my spine. Someone or rather something was flying next to me. I turned around. It was, a light? I remembered the voice but became confused. Did God want to punish me? Or give me another chance in life? It turned out to be something even more surprising. You see, one thing I hate the most in this life is change. That is exactly what a certain group had planned for me. The light began to say” You are something unusual, something unique and although we are aware of your life experiences, we still need you for this job. The others expect you to do well in this as these are the consequences of the things you have done in this life. The spirit clan has asked you to become a traveller. And although the council does not like you and knows that you hate change, they decided that you shall travel to 6 different worlds to reflect on yourself. Of course, if you want, you can settle in any of them, AFTER completing the task”. That day was the worst, mind-blowing depressing and unidealistic day of my life. I didn’t know so I just said” Alright, I’ll do it” not knowing it was the best judgment of my life that would lead me to him. The first five were not that big of a deal as they were all about fights, family problems, and marriage relationships and so on. I also had to deal with the problem of being beheaded! Like seriously, there was something really wrong with those people. Although they all are from different dimensions from the farthest corners of the universe they are still human beings. And humans are and will always will be a corrupt and idiotic species. I sighed when I thought about this thinking of the day it will finally come to an end. I thought that there would be something interesting to see and I would go on some sort of adventure, but nope. Not a single thing that was worth my glance. Those fools had handpicked the planets for me huh? It ticked me off when I thought about it. When I went to the last one, it was full of those medieval problems. This one got my eye, and I used my brain for once. Not trying to brag or anything, but my parents were very studious and wanted me to be the same. So, as they wished I did a lot of work to become this smart. The palace game – I mean the ancient world – took the longest to solve. About six months, I think, maybe, probably, I don’t know. The board knew I did not reflect on myself so they told me to look at one last world and see if I liked it. At that time, I was already used to it, so I accepted. But I guess change is not something anyone can get used to. I was given very little information about this world and was not given the issue that was supposed to be solved. They also said something very interesting. Something about me meeting familiar people there. So I just went there out of curiosity. It was a nice world with people that looked peaceful and pretty happy. I trotted along the place and saw different things. I was elated and happy to have been sent here. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted something that caught my eye. It was a marketplace, so without thinking twice, I went.
