Letter of the author
The Chronicles of Zyllyön in 2023 celebrates two decades of development.
A seed germinated in 2003 and remained alive throughout this time, enduring all kinds of eventualities from whoever wrote these words. The story began to bury itself in the fertile ground even before the aforementioned year, a product of the ever-current rise of science fiction, terror, drama, and horror. At some point in this process, I told myself that I had to write something like this, I had to do it and that's how I began to make it happen. I did not have the discipline of a writer at that time. He only wrote compact sketches that were often incoherent, a mere aid from memory, so as not to forget the idea. A lot of water would go under the bridge from this. There was a lot to think about to dedicate myself to the narration of such a plot. It was too much for me, there were things that I didn't even know how to describe well.
I practiced short stories to gain experience, and countless narrated situations with the aim of achieving the ability to describe anything. Since then I have written a few things here and there, but I was not yet ready for this great story that I wanted to tell, not at least to capture something that was worth showing. The ideas surrounding these chronicles hovered almost tangibly in my mind all the time, like living organisms lodged in the depths of my mind. After years, I decided to start writing the saga with the first stanzas that would mark the path of the future. This gave me the strength and confidence to continue it to this day. In a depressing and frustrating room without windows, where there was only my computer and me, an empty, dark, cold, and damn lonely bedroom, it was where I began to release the first letters of this story.
I captured the ideas as best I could, detailed them, and developed them until I completed an entire novel. I like challenges and I was writing this; I needed a challenge like this. I took it and carried it out. Wow, it will have given me work from the beginning. I didn't leave out other short stories in the process though. Despite the time that has elapsed, this story continues to spin in my mind. It still makes me feel good to get into this world, characters, and plots. This fantastic, fascinating world of Zyllyön, where the chronicles are set, will certainly never leave my mind. They are my pride and passion. Characters like Üll, Jezabel, Minoszet, Luvriano, and Menec, among many, many others, are already confirmed by me.
I hope you enjoy the book. I will always be grateful that you have chosen it.
