Followed, but why?

The next morning Kim is waken up by the smell of pancakes and coffee. She stretches her body and gets up. She looks down and just shakes her head when she sees herself still wearing her clothes. She takes a shower and get dressed in some leggins and a sweat shirt. She goes downstaires where her family is already seated at the table. "Goodmorning" Marlon says when seing her coming down. She gives the kids a hug and kisses them on their forehead. She hugs Erica who is standing with a pan with a pancake on. She puts it on Kims plate. "Goodmorning, oh it smells so good!" They all sit down and eat breakfast. Jack is off to school and Marlon drops Jill off at the daycare center before going to work. Kim helps Erica clean up the kitchen. "So when is the auction?" Erica asks. "On Friday at 11 am. So I have the day to get some insight and to see the city if you are welling to be my guide cuz I think I will get lost here really fast!" the two laughs. "I would love to. Where is the auction house?" "Oh I have the adress in my bag!" 

After working out in the gym Marlon build in the basement, the two ladies get into Ericas tiny car. Good for driving in the city, while still fast and small enough to park almost anywhere. The two ladies looking like a million dollar in their slick looking business suits, Kim in navy blue and Erica in dark green with white shirts underneath the jacket. The auction house is only a few blocks away. They park the car a block away and walk to the aution house. It´s a small shop converted into a tiny auction house. Kim looks around and quickly finds what she is looking for, but takes an interest in other pieces of art hanging on the wall. They are on auction tomorrow as well. Erica notice that they are being followed by two young men. She mindlinks Marlon: "You are right! Kim is being followed! What do you want me to do?" He answers quickly: "Just keep her close to you. I will reach out to mum and dad about this!" "Okay I will keep her safe!" "I know. I love so very much!" "I love you too Marlon. Just be safe yourself!" They end the mindlink. "Is everything okay?" Kim asks her sister-in-law. She has notice Erica stairing at a weird looking statue. "Yeah just trying to figure out what this is?" Erica looks pussled at Kim. "The statue is really unique" a voice says from behind them.

They turn around and the owner of the aution house is standing behind them. A man in his 30´es, jeans, v-neck t-shirt and sneakers. They smile at him. "Hi I am Josh Harding owner of this auction house. I haven´t seen you around before?" "Hi I am Kim Watson, I am here for a client of mine. This is my sister in law Erica." Erica shakes his hand. Their eyes meet. Her says: Elves, his: werewolf. Human? She nods slightly. "So what is it your clients want?" Josh asks Kim. Kim looks at him and doesn´t know why but she trust him somehow, enough to tell him. "It´s the statue of Zeus and the mermaids over there!" "Oh you are the only who has showen any interest in it so far. I don´t htink that many people knows what it is to be honest. But the auction is at 11 am tomorrow, will you attend it yourself?" He looks at the two women. "Yes!" Kim answers. "Well I will see you there then." He shakes their hands and leaves them. "Is that a good thing?" Erica asks with her eyebrows raised a bit. "Maybe. You never know with these things!" Kim says.

They leave the auction house to get some lunch. Kim takes the orders and comes down to the table where Erica is already seated. Erica has noticed that they are now being followed by a couple. Kim looks the same way as Erica. She smiles. "What are you smiling for?" Erica noticing. "That poor guy nearly got stuck in doorway of the plane cuz he is so huge!" Kim laughs. "OMG, you are kidding me?" Erica laughs too hoping her sister in law doesn´t notice that she is getting more and more nervous about the whole thing. The rest of the afternoon they go sight seing. Erica enjoys showing Kim aound. They are walking in the park near their house when Marlon mindlinks Erica: "How is she? Has she notice anything?" "Yes and no!" "What do you mean byt that?" Marlon asks nervously. She tells him what Kim told her about the couple. Marlon signs. "So they have followed her all the way from her home? What is going on?" "What did your mum and dad say?" "They are looking into it, as well as Brandon and Pete. I don´t like this one bit!" "Me neither! See you when you get home"

Kim stops at an icecream stand. "You want one?" she asks Erica. "No thanks I am full!" Erica puts a hand on her stomack. Kim smiles. She orders an icecream with chocolate bites and two huge coffees to go. She hands one coffee to Erica who gets surprised by it but smiles and take the coffee without any complains. Kim takes her coffee and icecream with her as they walk over to a spot in the shades of a tree. They sit on the grass and just looks at t he people walking by, kids playing, dogs running after balls, sticks etc. Just another day at the park. They spent the afternoon in the park before returning to the car. Erica notice the two men that have been following them since they left the park. She is getting more and more worried.
