a/n: wasn't able to update this last week. swept by typhoon odette last week sorry :((( i love youu! Chapter 6 “You are not going to do that, Jan.” Peter nervously laugh. “I am going to do that, Pete.” “I am going to let her go.” “Are you using your head right now, Alejandro? Oh my God!” he exclaimed and can’t believe what is happening. “You have been dreaming this moment ever since that day, Alejandro. It was an opportunity that landed on your palms and all you have to do is to use it well and play it well. Don’t let it go! It is your time to revenge! For your parents!” “You can’t just let her go home to her father. You need to do something, Alejandro. For your father and mother. Don’t let her go on hook that as if his father didn’t do something wrong.” Alejandro knows it is wrong. Very wrong. No sins of the parents shall be carried over to the children but the hatred in his heart—in their heart—because Peter father died too—on the hands of Santiago Lacson. “Call Santiago. Let him know na hawak natin ang anak niya. He’ll shudder in fear the moment he hear that.” -- Turns out it was not. “You have her right now?” No pleading. No crying. It seems like a casual talk on the phone. “I can kill her in a snap, Santiago.” Alejandro threatened. “Then kill her.” It seems like his ears played him a thing. What did he said? “Kill her. Because I don’t give a f**k about her and you are doing me a favor. Planning to kill her this year so yeah. Thanks.” Then the call ended. “What…?” it was Peter who recovered first. “What the f**k did I just heard?” “Governor Jemenia. My relationship with my father is strictly business. I haven’t even talked to him since what…? 3 years ago?” “Is he a f*****g dumb?” Napapikit ng mahigpit si Alejandro sa narinig. It didn’t despise him—mas naging pabor pa kay Santiago na patayin ang anak niya. “Hayop. Masahol pa sa hayop ang animal na Santiago na iyan.” Peter whispered. Tahimik lang na nakamasid si Alejandro sa kumikinang na mataas na building. It is his first project ever since na naupo siya bilang Gobernador. Ang pinaka modernong Provincial Capitol ng Pilipinas. Nagkakaroon eto ng Fifty Floors at earthquake proof pa eto. Despite being the youngest Governor seated on the Province of Mirasol—sa edad na 25—ay hindi iyon naging hadlang sa pagkamit ng recognition mapa international or national man. “Jan.” He felt Peter nudge him dahil nakatulala lang eto ng ilang minuto sa era. Napalingon ang gobernador sa kaibigan. It is so painful to witness how the person you think as the strongest out of all—ay biglang napunaw na parang kandila. Alejandro witnessed the moment Peter saw his father in the crime scenes. Salvaged too. “Peter! Peter! Huwa—” Alejandro’s Mom tried to reach the boy pero mas malakas ang bata at nakawala eto sa hawak niya. Peter knows it was his father… ang taong na nakahiga sa tabi ng daan at tinabunan lang ng dahon ng saging. He knows. But the moment na iniangat niya ang dahon ng saging ay parang natupok siya na para bang isa siyang kandila. Napaluhod siya sa daan at napakapit sa damit ng ama niya. “P-Pa…” Naka masking tape ang mukha nito at nakatali ang mga kamay. Hubo’t hubad. “P-Pa…” When he tried to hold his fathers face ay bumuka ang baba neto at may nakita siyang isang papel mula sa baba nito. He pull it and it is a letter. Trial and Error. Seems like a success. More to come! Be prepared! Alejandro saw how Peter—ang hinahangaan niyang Kuya—was eaten by the anger and pain. He thought that he understands what Peter felt that day—but after a week—it seems like a déjà vu. But the situation is different. It was his parents who were salvaged and it was Peter who helped him through pain. “What is your plan now?” Peter asked him at itinaas ang baso ng whiskey niya. “He is not interested with his own daughter. It won’t work the revenge. That won’t pain him.” Alejandro just kept silent because he doesn’t know. -- It was the rustle of the door knob that made Samantha woke up. She felt light from a long sleep but the fact that she is still being kept in a room makes her afraid. And yeah, the food didn’t have any poison. She tightly closed her eyes to act na she’s still sleeping. Bakit gising pa kaya eto? “What would I do to you?” Why is he asking me this? “I want to hurt you so bad just what your father did to my parents but I just couldn’t get myself to hurt you or my men. You seem so familiar yet not.” He is familiar. Well then, he is the governor. “I want to use you against your father so—I scared him—I threatened him… but was he really your father? I think he didn’t blink when I told him that I can kill you.” Father. You are really… a demon. “I despise your kind more than everyone but…” she heard him sighed at maya maya pa ay narinig niya ang sunod sunod na hikbi. “How can I kill you when you did nothing wrong to me?” Samantha’s mind kept running and running. This person is so kind. “I want to avenge my parents by you—but you didn’t did me anything wrong. H-how can I do you evil?” he sounds so confused and in pain. She suddenly felt a warm hands on hers at parang hudyat iyon na imulat niya ang mga mata niya at makita ng masinsinan ang lalakeng nasa harap niya. He is so handsome but he is in tears. She want to dry off the tears from him but he greatly stopped herself. He is drunk. “H-help me… because I don’t know what to do.” “I can help you, Alejandro.” She whispered. Alejandro lifted his face to meet her eyes. “H-How?” This time, she didn’t stopped herself from drying of the tears with the use of her thumbs. “I will help you… but first. Help me with this thing.” She removed the blanket to reveal her feet. She knows he is drunk and a triumph smile draws to her mouth the moment he got the keys and unlock it. After few more rustles the chain got off and she got off the bed. Napalingon siya sa gobernador and she saw him waiting to her to speak. “How are you going to help me?” Samantha smiled. “By this.” She suddenly punch him so hard and he landed to the floor. She thinks she just broke his nose and in fact she is so sorry pero kailangan niya lang makatakas sa lugar na eto. When he barely move noong tinry niyang yugyugin eto ay agad na siyang lumabas ng kwarto. He slowly creep outside of the hacienda. She promised herself that she will never stepped on this place ever again. “It was nice meeting you, Governor Jemenia.” She whispered bago tuluyang bumaba ng burol. “Let’s not meet again.” Silently. --- Thank you so much for reading!!
