The guards threw me into an empty, dirty and dark cell. The silver chain was burning my wrists really bad and I had to use my ' water power ' to freeze the chain so as to stop the burn. I sat on the floor of the cell since there was no bed as I sighed in frustration.
I wanted to cry but no tears came out of my eyes. I wanted to laugh but I couldn't make any sound. Finally, I heard footsteps coming to the direction of my cell and I knew that Samantha was here to give me my punishment.
I quickly unfroze the chain with my fire power as I stood up form my position. The gate opened and Samantha came inside, holding a metallic whip, coated with silver which was always used to punish all Omegas.
"I'm giving you a chance to defend yourself, Sydney. First, you hit me and then, you rolled your eyes at me. What do you have to say about that?", she asked with a smirk.
"I did not hit you and I wasn't rolling my eyes at you. I was just thinking about something that made me roll my eyes", I defended myself even though I knew it wasn't going to change anything.
"Are you trying to imply that I'm a liar? That I lied on you? And to make matters worst, you were thinking about something else while I was talking to you?", she snorted. " How rude".
"Can you please explain how my statement was rude? You gave me a chance to defend myself and that's what I did so what's the stress? Besides, we're all seventeen, turning eighteen next week so basically, we're age mates. The only difference between the both of us is that you're the Delta and I'm an Omega", I snapped. Samantha bursted into laughter, shaking her head as she did and the next minute, she landed a punch in my face.
"How dare you compare yourself to me? You're nothing but a worthless piece of garbage".
"Just because you're dating the Alpha's son doesn't make you the Luna, Delta Samantha".
"You're overstepping boundaries, darling. Don't mess with me, I'm not easy to deal with", she warned, her eyes changing colours which indicated that her wolf was trying to take control. Gold was also begging me to let her have control but I knew better than to risk both our lives.
Samantha brought out the metallic whip and used it to whip me twice on my right arm. I winced in pain as the silver burnt my arm. I couldn't let her know that my wounds heal fast so I stopped the wound from healing. Since I was considered a were human, I wasn't supposed to heal immediately I get a wound on my body yet alone heal faster than an Alpha.
She continued to beat me with the whip, kicking and cursing alongside as tears ran down my face. The burns from the silver was affecting Gold really bad since it wasn't healing.
After ten minutes of beatings, she finally stopped and left the cell. Immediately, the guards released me and I got out of the cell and limped to my room.
I avoided all the stares the Omegas were giving me and the scorn some female pack members were throwing at me until I got to my room. There, Diana was waiting for me with a first aid kit as she sat on my bed. Immediately she saw me, she ran to me and hugged me do tightly that I winced due to the injuries on my body. Gold wasn't herself as she refused to talk to me like she always did anytime I was beaten.
"Why are you crying?", I asked Diana as I cupped her face in my hands. I hadn't realized that she was crying when I entered inside the room and I wondered what would have made her cry.
"I'm tired, Sydney. I'm tired of everything that has been happening, I'm tired of being an omega, I'm tired of being beaten up everyday. I'm tired of waking up by four am every morning to go prepare food for more than four hundred people in this pack. I'm tired of seeing you being beaten up just because those wenches are jealous of your hair. I never signed this type of life with the Moon Goddess, why is she treating us like this?", she lamented in between tears and I hugged her tightly.
"Don't blame this in the moon goddess, she hasn't turned her back on us, she's fighting alongside us. I am also tired just like you are that's why I've made up my mind, I want to get out of this place", I confessed and her eyes widened as she stepped away from me.
" ............ and become a rogue? How do you plan on doing that? What about your mate, what if he's in this pack? Will you reject him?".
"You ask a lot of questions, Diana. Don't you know that I'm still in this pack because of my mate? I'm just waiting patiently to turn eighteen next week, if my mate isn't in this pack or he rejects me, I'll become a rogue", I said nonchalantly and she opened her mouth wide in surprise.
"SYDNEY!", she exclaimed and I shrugged.
"You're my best friend, Diana and I can't deceive you but I also can't continue to live as an Omega for the rest of my life or I'll die young. I was going to put a stop to this type of life the moment I turn eighteen. It was long overdue and there's no going back now, I can't stay in this pack anymore than this".
"What if you're caught? You know that you can't leave the pack like that, let alone escape".
"That's why I have something to confess to you", I said and she looked at me suspiciously. I released myself and my wounds began to heal very fast, faster than how an Alpha wound would heal. Diana eyes widened and she gasped in surprise as she stepped further away from me.
