Elementless spiritual energy

He passed through the narrow path again and soon arrived before the Illusionary Array. He passed through the Array and entered the first cave. The campfire in the cave was burning again with dozens of fish on sticks placed beside the campfire, but Jong Ji's master was not in the cave. The moment Jong Ji entered the cave, he smelled a pleasant smell. The smell of grilled fish. He rushed to the campfire and sat near it. He then grabbed two sticks and started eating the fish. He couldn't stop himself. He was like a beast devouring the fish one by one. He didn't feel so hungry before, but the moment he smelled the grilled fish, he felt like a hole opened in his stomach. After devouring the twentieth fish, he felt that the hole had disappeared. However, he didn't stop eating. He continued eating until he felt that his stomach was about to burst. "Hahaha!" He heard his master laugh from outside. Just a moment later, his master entered the cave floating in a lotus position. "Master!" Jong Ji happily said and immediately got up and greeted his master by cupping his hands in front and bowing slightly. His master nodded in satisfaction. Out of nowhere, in his hand appeared a brown porcelain jar. "Here, drink some water." He said as he removed the cap from the jar's mouth and passed it to Jong Ji. Jong Ji took the jar of water and greedily drank the water until he clenched his thirst. "Jong Ji, sit down. Let's talk a little." His master said gently. Jong Ji immediately obeyed and sat down. He placed the jar with water next to himself. "Master, how did the jar appear out of nowhere?" Jong Ji asked. "That's because of this," his master said as he pointed with his left index finger to the golden ring on the index finger of his right hand. "A ring?" Jong Ji asked in confusion. "This is a space ring. Master alchemists create them by refining various special materials in an alchemy furnace. The rings contain space inside in which you store valuables. The more precious the materials used for refining, the more space the ring contains. The critical material for the space ring is space stone. The most common space rings have a space of about five square meters. As for my ring...Well, you could say it has almost infinite space." The master explained. "There exists such a thing?" Jong Ji asked in shock. The cultivation world really had so many unbelievable things. "Yes!" The master nodded with a warm smile. However, he soon became serious. "Jong Ji, did you understand the text in the bamboo scroll?" He asked. "Yes!" Jong Ji replied seriously. "Good, good!" His master nodded in satisfaction. "Can you tell me what you understood from the first law of the 'Elementless Three-Element Class'?" Jong Ji nodded and continued to explain: "The first law is called the Elementless law. The cultivation methods for elemental classes teach you that there are different spiritual energies around us, such as: Fire spiritual energy, wind spiritual energy, and so on. However, the Elementless law teaches that there is also elementless spiritual energy around us that doesn't belong to any element but can become any element." Jong Ji paused for a second and rubbed the back of his head. "Master, that's all that I understood. I disappointed you." He said apologetically. 'What a talent.' His master thought. In fact, he surprised him a lot. He never expected Jong Ji to understand the first law so quickly. "How many times did you read the text?" "I do not know. I stopped counting after the hundredth time." Jong Ji said, a little anxious. Did he need to count the times he read the text? "Good!" The master said, nodding in satisfaction as he stroked his long white beard. 'Not only talented but also hardworking.' The master thought. "What about the second law?" The master asked. "The second law is called the All Element Law. There are seven elements in nature, and they are Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Darkness, and Light. There is spiritual energy belonging to each element around us. There are also places in the world where one particular element abounds. For example, near Vulcans, there is abounds of fire elements while there is no water element. Near the oceans, on the other hand, there is a abound of water element but no fire element. The All Element Law teaches that using the Elementless spiritual energy in the air, you can use up to three elements." Jong Ji explained. "Jong Ji, this is a cultivation method. Do you know what the cultivation method is?" The master asked. "Isn't it the methods that teach the cultivators to absorb the spiritual energy in the air?" Jong Ji replied with a question. "Yes, you are right." The master nodded. "Jong Ji, do you think the 'Elementles Three-Element Class' is a powerful cultivation method?" The master asked seriously. "Yes. It allows you to use three elements at the same time." Jong Ji replied, confused by the question. Was there any point in asking this question? Three elements against one. Was there any need to think about which cultivation method is better? "Good thinking,"The master commented as he shook his head. "But you're wrong. When one awakens elemental class, his body can only contain the spiritual energy of the element he awakened. If he still cultivates another element, he will die." "Then master, why can I use this cultivation method? What element is my class?" Jong Ji asked. "Your class is Elementless. Meaning you could only contain the elementless spiritual energy. When you want to, for example, use the fire element, you must transform the Elementless spiritual energy into the fire element spiritual energy and then compress it to create fire. It is the same for all other elements." "I see." Jong Ji said. "Master, when can I start cultivating?" He asked, clenching his fists. "Why don't we start immediately?" The master asked. ... In the cave with the waterfall, the master was sitting in a lotus position on the soft grass. His hands were on his knees. Across him, Jong Ji also sat in a similar position. "Close your eyes." The master said, and Jong Ji immediately obeyed. "Now, listen to me carefully and do everything I say." The master said. " Take a deep breath and concentrate. Imagine little white dots flying all around you in the air." Jong Ji concentrated and tried imagining the white dots around him. However, whenever he concentrated, the scenes of the giant snake killing his mother appeared before him. Fifteen minutes passed in the blink of an eye, but Jong Ji was still struggling to concentrate. Drops of sweat were rolling down his forehead. "Sigh!" The master let out a deep sigh. He stood up and started walking toward the small path leading to the first cave where the entrance was. He deliberately walked instead of floating so Jong Ji could hear his steps. "You are blinded by hatred so much that you can't even concentrate enough to sense the particles of the elementless spiritual energy. I cannot teach you if you don't possess spiritual energy." The master said as he walked away. Jong Ji felt like a stone tied to his heart. He slowly opened his eyes when he was sure his master had left the cave. He looked at his palms. "Slap!" With all his strength, he slapped his cheeks. He didn't hold back even a little. Red marks immediately appeared on his cheeks. He lowered his hands and placed them on his knees again. Then he closed his eyes and concentrated again. The scenes started appearing before his eyes again. 'GO AWAY!' Jong Ji screamed in his mind. 'This is not the time to think about revenge. I need strength before I can even think about getting revenge.' Jong Ji thought. 'FULL FOCUS!' He screamed in his mind again. At that moment, the scenes that appeared before him disappeared. However, that was not the only thing that disappeared. The sound of the waterfall falling down into the pond disappeared. As if he lost the sense of hearing, he became numb to sound. The master, whom he thought had already left, was actually floating at the entrance of the second cave ( the cave with the waterfall). He smiled at the scene of Jong Ji sitting in a lotus position, fully concentrated. Jong Ji didn't even realize that he couldn't hear, as he was too shocked. His eyes were obviously closed, but he could somehow see, though everything was white and black. His heart raced with excitement. Not because he could see with closed eyes, but because he could see white dots flying in this black-and-white world. 'I succeeded!' He screamed inside. "Hooo!" He exhaled and slowly opened his eyes. "This..." He was left speechless after he opened his eyes. Instead of a bright cave, what greeted him was a dark cave. He was confused. He looked up, and the shock he thought couldn't be greater increased. There was a moon with many stars on the ceiling. If Jong Ji didn't know he was underground, he would have thought he was outside under the starry sky. "What is this?" Jong Ji asked aloud with shock. He didn't expect an answer, but soon he heard the answer. "It is not an ordinary array for lighting." His master said, coming from behind. "Instead, this Array is made to recreate the sky outside. If outside is dark, it will be dark in the cave too. And the best thing is that this Array does not change the temperature inside the cave. Even if it is hot outside, the temperature in the cave will not change by recreating the outside sky." The master finished explaining. He arrived next to Jong Ji. Floating, he looked up at the recreated starry sky.
