The pen appears
Chapter 1:
Neil rushed through the crowded hallways of Riverside High School, clutching her books like a shield against the chaos of lockers slamming and sneakers squeaking on the polished floors. She had barely made it to her first-period class on time, and already her day was off to a messy start.
As she slid into her seat, she noticed something strange on her desk a shiny fountain pen she had never seen before. It wasn’t like the regular pens she brought from home. This one seemed to glimmer, almost as if it was glowing in the fluorescent light.
Curious, Neil picked it up. The moment her fingers touched the smooth surface, words appeared on the blank page of her notebook:
“Today will not go as you expect. Watch closely.”
Neil blinked. She looked around. No one else seemed to notice anything unusual. Maybe it was a prank?
She scribbled the message down and shrugged. “Weird,” she muttered under her breath. But deep down, a tiny spark of excitement flickered.
By the time lunch rolled around, the pen had written another message on its own:
“The cafeteria is not what it seems. Be careful who you trust.”
Neil laughed nervously. “Okay, this is getting creepy… and kind of awesome.”
She tucked the pen into her bag, planning to figure it out later. But little did she know, this small, magical pen was about to turn every boring day at Riverside High into a chaotic, hilarious adventure.
Just as she grabbed her tray in the crowded cafeteria, she noticed a classmate staring at her with wide eyes, whispering something to their friend. Neil froze. Could this be connected to the pen?
Her heart skipped a beat. Something told her… today would be anything but ordinary.
