Chapter 1
The shrill ring of the alarm pulled Siya Mehra out of her dreams. With a sleepy sigh, she pushed herself out of bed and began her morning routine. Another day, another shift.
Siya had been working at the reception desk of Malhotra Hotels for the past two months. At nineteen, she was a picture of quiet beauty — fair skin, soft features, and a curvy figure that could have belonged to a goddess from an old painting. But beneath her appearance, she carried a gentle heart, one that lit up most when she was around children.
Her life had never been easy. Orphaned at the age of ten after a tragic accident claimed her parents, Siya spent the rest of her childhood in an orphanage until she turned eighteen. From there, she put herself through college, determined to stand on her own feet. Her days were a careful balance of morning lectures and evening shifts at the hotel, returning each night to the comfort of her small but cherished apartment.
She didn’t have much family, but she wasn’t entirely alone. Her best friend, Anaya, had become like a sister to her since they met at the hotel. Where Siya was shy and reserved, Anaya was bold and outspoken — often shielding her from unwanted attention. Men tried to flirt with Siya all the time, but her innocence made her blind to their intentions.
Anaya often joked that Siya needed a good man in her life, someone who would protect her. What neither of them knew was that fate was already working in the background — and the path they were on would lead Siya straight into the hands of the one man who could shatter her quiet world forever.
