The Betrayed Luna's Return

Chapter 2

Natalia’s POV

“Rise and shine. Today is your wedding!” Sarah, my handmaiden , screamed out in excitement ,jolting me from my sleep.

“I couldn’t forget even if I tried,” I replied, smiling as my eyes lazily opened.

“Who would?! I know nothing could wipe my memory away if I was getting married to Alpha Zachary. The biggest and strongest Alpha we know” Sarah said to me and I blushed knowing that I was going to be sharing another good news soon to everyone.

“Let’s get you dressed. Today I’m going to be adorning you like a proper princess. No. A queen. A true Luna. I’ll go draw a bath for you” Sarah gushed out excitedly as she left for the bathroom.

My heart swelled with pride. From being treated like a slave I was going to become the Luna of one of the strongest packs in the world. What more could I want?

I went to my drawer to take a look at the test results again to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. I looked at it again, reconfirming that I was indeed pregnant as joy filled my heart again. I was beyond excited. I placed my hand on my tummy again, happy that my pup was growing inside of me.

Sarah called me to take my bath. She had added scented oils and rose petals for me. She carefully scrubbed my legs and washed my hair for me. I wasn’t used to anyone doing anything for me so I enjoyed this feeling.

After I was taking my bath, I dried my body and buttered my body.

“Are you ready?” Sarah asked to bring my wedding dress.

“More than ready” I said as I carefully slipped into the pure white dress which had gold designs on it. Sarah helped zip me up and made sure the gown was well fitted. After which she styled my hair, adorning it with beautiful white flowers and applying light makeup on my face.

Turning into the mirror I was shocked at the person standing in front of the mirror. She was breathtaking.

“You’re the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. If you’ll permit me. I brought a small gift for you” Sarah said to me as she stretched out a perfume to me.

“Oh Sarah. Thank you. This is beautiful.” I replied grateful for her thoughtfulness.

“It’s a rare kind. I had my uncle bring it from afar. Trust your step sister will be so jealous when she finds out you own it” she said to me as I laughed at her shaking my head.

True, Sarah didn’t like my stepsister one bit for how she had treated me. But somehow I couldn’t bring myself to hate my family. I just wished they had been more kind to me. Even today being my wedding I had received no gifts from them but that wasn’t important.

“I’d like to have something to eat before leaving” I said to Sarah, recalling the instructions the doctor had given me.

“But. Your dress?” Sarah asked probably worried about me bloating up. Brides were known to not eat till after their vows but I was a pregnant bride.

“Shhh. It’ll be our little secret” I told her and she went to get me food.

It was time to head to the wedding venue. We had decided to have a small wedding as I didn’t want it big. I wanted something simple, private and intimate so we didn’t invite many guests.

Getting there with my face covered in white veil, I walked down the aisle in my father’s arms. I couldn’t think of anything at that moment except the man who was standing at the pulpit suited up looking very handsome. In some minutes we’ll be saying our vows and I’ll become his wife. I couldn’t help the tears brimming in my eyes as he took my hand from my father.

My father wore a proud look on his face as he handed me over to Alpha Zachary.

“Make sure you take care of my daughter. She’s my precious jewel and as such you need to make sure you treat her as one” he said.

I was really shocked at his words. Sadly this was the first time I was being praised by my father. He was never kind to me so why was he trying to act like a good father?

Alpha Zach only nodded his head as he looked at me with loving eyes.

“She’s more precious than diamonds. How do you think I’d treat her? She holds more power than a queen when it comes to my heart. Be rest assured she’s in safe hands” he said looking into my eyes.I could feel my heart beat faster with joy from his words.

“I’m utterly in love with you Natalie,” he continued. “And I can’t wait to make you mine forever,” he said.

I could feel butterflies in my tummy with his words. There was no denying it. I was in love with this Man. No words could express it and soon I would be sharing the good news of our child with him.

“Shall we proceed?” The priest asked and Zach nodded his head in agreement.

“To start This ceremony, is there any reason this couple should not be bound together as one? Speak up now or forever hold your peace” The priest spoke but I had no reason to be afraid. Alpha Zach and I were sure of our love for each other. I trust him and he trusts me too. We’ve waited for this moment for a long time.

“ in the absence of none. I shall proceed—” the priest's voice echoed inside the hall as everyone remained silent to witness this moment. He continued to speak until a sudden cold voice distracted the moment.

Turning around I saw it was my stepsister Diana.

“I object! This wedding cannot take place.” She declared, standing up from the congregation.

My eyes widened in shock and I questioned myself inwardly. ‘Why would she object to my wedding?’

“And why is that? What is your problem? Why are you trying to cause a scene here?” I asked tired of her always sabotaging me.

“Oh, that's because I’m going to be giving this pack an heir” she said coyly at me smiling.

“What?” I asked, feeling dizzy. What did she mean by that?

“Yes Natalie. I am pregnant with Alpha Zachary”. Diana said, dropping the bombshell as everyone gasped out.
