Chapter 3

Natalia’s POV

“What?” I asked faintly as I felt breath being knocked away from me from the news I just received or had I misheard her?

“Yes Natalie. I’m pregnant for him and as such this wedding can’t take place” Diana continued.

“Is this true?” I turned to Alpha Zachary asking him but got no reply.

“I’m talking to you Zach!” I screamed out as tears threatened to pour out from my ears. “Tell me it’s not, Tell me she’s lying. Do something! Say something!” I said loudly not caring about the congregation looking at me.

“I- I'm sorry, Natty. I didn't mean to.” he replied in a calm tone.

“Why? Did you really have s*x with her?” I asked, without waiting for a response as it was all written on his face, I said. “You’re disgusting! You bastard!” I turned to face Diana. “And you. How low would you stoop to hurt me? Haven’t you done enough? You're more evil than I thought” I was at a loss for words and couldn’t believe it. I attacked her, without thinking about the grievances of my actions, I wanted to deal with this shameless b***h that stole my man right on my wedding day.

Zach stepped forward and separated us, pushing me away from her and I fell on the ground. Although my waist hurt, I didn't stay back down but got right up at once.

“Don’t start acting innocent now. You’ve been cheating on him for a long time now. That’s why he came to me, because you’re a despicable low life. Of course I never expected you to be loyal. You had no wolf so what could stop you from bonding with just anyone” Diana said accusingly to me.

“What do you mean?” I was confused by her accusations.

“ I have proof that you try to deny it. Here are pictures of you with another man. You’re nothing but a slut and don’t deserve his love” Alpha Zach said to support what she said as he showed me pictures and truly it was me with another man but I could not remember ever being with another man apart from Zach.

“You are a deceiver! You’re truly what they say you are. I can’t believe you’ve been cheating on me and dared to question me about I and your sister” he said angrily to me

“I swear, I’m innocent” I tried to defend myself as tears poured from my eyes.

“No, you’re as guilty as a thief.” He claimed. Zach's glare turned cold and he sighed deeply before speaking. “I, Alpha Zach, denounce you and from now henceforth Diana is my mate and will become the Luna of my pack” Alpha Zach said, shattering my heart.

My heart felt heavy hearing those words. How did I get here? What happened? Today was meant to be the best day of my life. More tears flowed from my eyes as I clutched my tummy. What about our child? How could I tell him now?

“She needs to be punished for cheating on an Alpha. We need to show her and set an example for the young female wolves out there that you dare not disrespect an Alpha in such a manner” Diana said to Alpha Zach as she walked to him to hold his hand.

Everyone in the congregation had started side talking and I could hear loud gasps but couldn’t care. All I knew was I had to leave this place to save myself and my baby. It all felt like a bad dream. I was dreaming right? What was happening?

I stood frozen at the altar as I knew going straight home wasn’t possible though it was the only place I knew. I had stained my wedding dress with tears as I cried out loudly. Like always my step sister had found a way to steal away my happiness. Pain shot through my heart when I remembered the disgust in Alpha Zachary’s face when he looked at me. I still couldn’t believe he had broken the bond with me.

“How could you?!” A loud voice came from the congregation. It was my father’s.

“I’ve always told you about this girl but you wouldn’t believe it. Look at how she has disgraced the family.” My stepmother said to my father.

“Natalia! Natalia! you disgraceful slut. What have I done to deserve this?” my father shouted.

I recoiled into myself as I cried more. I was too scared to confront him. My only comfort was my growing child in me.

“ I’ve always known you were a misfortune. I don’t know what sin I had done against the moon goddess that she dropped you in my hands”. My father said to me with anger in his eyes.

“Father please. Please believe me just this once. I have no idea about what I’m being accused of-” I tried to explain to him.

“Shut up! You’re such a liar. Of course they’d be trying to accuse you. You’re nothing but a harlot. You’ve disgraced not just yourself but me too. Take your things and leave because I won’t have a p********e under my roof!” He said.

“What things does she have? All she has was given to her by you. I say send her away into the streets the way she came” my stepmother added.

“Father please. I have nowhere to go. Please don’t do this to me” I begged and immediately I received a slap to my cheek.

“Don’t ever call me that. I’m not your father. You’re a bastard child. No child of mine would let another man who wasn’t her mate touch her”

More tears spilled from my eyes as my cheek stung from the slap. I looked at Alpha Zachary, the man who had prophesied his love to me just moments ago as he held Diana lovingly, his hands on her tummy.

Everything looked unreal to me.

“Furthermore, as a lesson to other women in this pack. You’ve been banished from this pack and now a rogue. You have little time to hurry and take what you have left and flee. Whoever gets a hold of you or sees you around this pack is obligated to put an end to you. We don’t accept rogues” my eyes widened at my father’s announcement. He had just banished me from the pack.

“Not like that would matter. She doesn’t have a wolf” Diana imputed mockingly at me.

Without hearing a snitching word, I gathered my wedding dress in my hand as I ran from the altar feeling used with a broken heart. I needed to leave this place for the sake of my baby and I needed to leave fast too.
