Chapter Ten“Get me closer.” Alaric murmured to Evan as they crouched behind a stack of crates at an abandoned railroad station. His hand was on Evan's shoulder, his eyes closed. “Not much closer we can get without being seen.” Evan responded. “Three men.” Alaric breathed. “Waiting for convoy with a prisoner…someone…woman.” He shifted and tried to stretch over the distance. He focused on just the man nearest them. “Low level, bored…would rather be up north on the Canadian front…wounded left knee. Stuck on transport duty since getting out of the hospital.
