Chapter NineteenThe buzz in his head was unsettling, the blur of another person's thoughts under his control, a person who clearly hated him and would kill him in an instant if Alaric's programming slipped in the slightest. Evan walked beside the commander as if he belonged there, saluting when appropriate as they passed people. Before long the morning shift would be starting, and they needed to be in place before then.
