I couldn't hold back the tears after they announced my son as the new alpha. The overwhelming joy on his and his father's faces was priceless. I could feel their excitement and love exuding from within them. When Iris removed the bindings, Maddix jumped into his dad's arms. They stood in their embrace and savored the moment. Iris had to remind them that we still had to induct a Luna. Maddix started to laugh and apologized to Iris. He then turned to me and apologized, and then Riley. We were all so happy, it didn't bother us at all. The pack members laughed and cried right along with us. Once my men were out of the way, Iris called Riley and I to stand with Maddix.
