I arrived at Coffee & Thyme earlier than Mel, and I went ahead and ordered for us. I ordered her favorite flatbread pizza with extra garlic, and a caesar salad for us both. I ordered her favorite blueberry banana smoothie and I ordered a pint of ale. It wasn't long after Hazel brought out the food when Mel arrived. I stood up to greet her and kissed her on the forehead. "I'm so happy to see you, baby. I went ahead and ordered for us, as you can see," I told her. A smile spread across her face and she thanked me for being so thoughtful.
