Episode 1
The night was mysteriously dark. The evening had been gray and I knew something ominous was looming around. I could feel it in my bones. My entire body was fully on alert that particular night because my mind knew something I didnt't like was about to happen. What was it? I could not tell. I decided I would sleep with the triplets in their room. For some reason, I didn't want to leave them alone. If whatever ominous that would occur meant taking my kids from me, whoever it was, would have to take my life first. But I wasn't a weak one and I knew it. Giving birth to them didn't make me any less frightening when it comes to battles. I tucked them in bed safely as I kissed their foreheads. "You kids go to sleep early, okay? Mommy will be staying with you tonight." My kids, each of them four years of age, gave me the same response in their cheerful voice. "Yes mommy." I brought the couch from the living room to their room and picked an interesting book to read. I had decided in my mind that nothing could make me close my eyes to sleep. I didn't need to stress it. As werewolves were naturally animals of the night, trying to stay wide awake was a piece of cake for me. I had read halfway into the book when something happened to me. We spent close to a year in this town. Perhaps it was time to move again. My past wasn't something I let myself dwell in for too long. Although, it does make me feel sad for the kids. To have to move every six months or a year. Not having any stable friends because their mother was too busy running from something, I sometimes wonder if I did wrong by bringing them into this cruel world. My mind flashed to their father, Ethan Gregory. A feared and well known man among all the packs. People who haven't even met him, feared him and the ones who knew him, now bowed at his feet. They craved for his mercy and kissed the ground he walked on. Ethan was like a god that was being worshiped. He had it all. The power. Fame. Wealth and probably a truck load of women at his disposal. Five years ago, I thought he would be mine. As my fated mate, my naive self thought we would be the sweetest couple. That I would be his Luna and together, we would conquer the whole world. It came as a shock to me when he rejected me. "How can you be my mate? Melania, be reasonable. You are lovely and I enjoyed spending time with you, but I am to take over the pack after my father. I plan to gain more power, increase this pack and make us invincible." He explained suddenly looking distraught by the fact that we were fated mates. "What does that have to do with us being mates? I am strong. I am confident, I can be your Luna." I tried to convince him. I took a step forward and tried to touch his face, to make him look at me but he stepped back, almost disgusted by my touch. "Melanie, I never thought the day would come when I would say this but, you are an orphan. If I am to have a mate, she should be from a strong family. A family that can enhance mine and give me the power I need." My eyes went wide, my hands shaking as my heart raced. Impossible! "But you had said you didn't care! You said you didn't like business matches. You told me you would never involve in such atrocious act Ethan!" I shouted refusing to believe the words he was saying to me. He took about two steps backward and lowered his head. Perhaps he was too ashamed to face me, but I didn't care. He was being a coward and definitely wasn't himself. "We were young and driven by our emotions. I didn't mean it." He finally said, his voice almost breaking. I refused to believe it. "No. You do not mean it Ethan." I was in denial. "You are shocked by the fact that we can be mates because we just happen to fall in love with each other without thinking we could be made for each other. I will give you time to accept and when…" "There is nothing more to accept Melanie!" He said, finally raising his voice. He met my gaze and slowly shook his head. "The pack isn't in good shape. My father plans to step down soon. I cannot betray everyone like this. I need someone powerful." He claims. "But our bond. Our bond is powerful. We are mates Ethan. Mates." I was being shameless but I didn't care. He was all I had. He was all that made me continue living. "Mate bond isn't forever Melanie." He stared at his hand, at the supernatural white thread that now connected our pinkies together. Signifying that we were mates. "Nooo…Ethan. Don't do this." He wouldn't reject me. He loves me. He…I felt like a part of me had vanished the moment he removed the thread from his pinky, blatantly telling the moon goddess he was rejecting me as his mate. "I am sorry Melanie but we can't be like this forever." He apologized before walking out on me. Leaving me a terrible mess of tears behind. Ethan broke our mate bond and refused to be linked to me. If I had thought my whole life had crumbled, I was joking because two months later, I found out I was pregnant with his children. How one night of passion seemed to have brought three lovely kids into this world was scary yet marvelous. Inhaling, I shivered as the cold suddenly hit me. I noticed that the kids had fallen asleep and were shivering in their sleep. Perhaps I had been too engrossed in my thoughts, I didn't notice the cold creeping in. I got up and closed the window before returning to the couch and continuing with my book. How fast the years seem to go by. As an orphan, I thought it would be impossible to take care of three kids on my own. It has been difficult but never impossible. They were the reasons I decided to live. My ears perked up when an unfamiliar scent drifted to my nose. I sniffed the air wondering where it could have come from. Feeling suspicious, I got up, picked the baseball bat beside me and walked towards the door. The scent seems to become stronger. I placed my hands on the door knob, ready to pull it open when I felt someone standing behind me. As I tried to turn around, the whole room spinned and I fell unconscious. The last I saw were the mysterious green and white eyes that had been haunting my dreams.
