Becky's POV...
I was discharged from hospital after they were sure I was up to it. My wounds till ached but I would do anything to be in mine and Daniel's bed right now. I wanted to snuggled under the fluffy blankets together with Bella in the middle. Daniel went to make to get my prescriptions for pain medication, Bella was at home with Isla-May, Lottie and Nathan making sure that everything was perfect for me.
When Daniel came back holding my prescription he held out his arm for me to hold as we walked out. Once in the car I felt totally knackered walking only a few steps I was so tired. I fell asleep in the car and woke up to find myself tucked up in bed. I must have been in a deep sleep I didn't have a clue that I had been taken out of the car.
I sat up gently to see that it was 6 pm, I decided to get up and get some food and see where my baby girl was. I slowly walked into the living room to find Bella and Daniel asleep cuddled up to one another I thought it was so cute so snapped a picture and decided I would give it to him for Christmas as it was only a couple of weeks away.
I placed a blanket over them and switched the TV off and made my way to the kitchen to make myself a sandwich. Once I had eaten I got myself a glass of water and then returned to bed but decided to watch TV for a while. At around 11pm Daniel came in rubbing his eyes, he told me that he put Bella in her bed and was now ready for bed himself.
We cuddled for a while until he told me about Jordan's trial and that I needed to stand up in court against him. I was scared at first but Daniel reassured me that this was the best possible thing to do to ensure that he would be out of our lives. I was certain that I had to do this to protect Bella. That night I fell asleep holding onto Daniel tightly.

2 Weeks Later
Daniel's POV...
Today was the first day of Jordan's trial, we would have to sit through evidence from the scene of Becky's attack being presented to the Jury and Judge. We would have to hear what police officers and forensics had to say. Finally we would have to hear from the devil himself Jordan and Becky would have to relive what happened to her and give her account of what occurred that dreadful night.
Photos were shown in court of Becky's blood all over the floor with a large kitchen knife next to it. Pictures of the injuries she sustained were shoved in front of everyone on the big screen. It made me cringe looking at them. Then the CCTV footage was shown, it captured the moment Jordan entered the Café then proceeded to led towards the attack.
We heard his threats and her sobbing, watching this was really hard for Becky she hid and buried herself in my chest. I could barely watch too but I had to know exactly what happened. Everyone was shocked at what they saw. The defence and prosecution gave their opening statements to the Jury and then the Judge called an end to day one.
Day two consisted of police testimonies and forensic reports. The police officers were to recount what they saw on that dreaded night and what evidence they believed pointed at Jordan. The forensics had to sum up their reports and give an explanation to each point they made. They said that the only finger prints found on the kitchen knife belonged to Becky and Jordan. The CCTV they examined proved that it wasn't altered so what was shown was exactly what happened. The judge decided that enough was done today and called for the trial to continue tomorrow.
Day three was to be the final day of the trial. Jordan would get his turn to speak and Becky would also be able to take the stand. Jordan's defence lawyer advised him to make a statement admitting to the attack and issue an apology but that did not happen he ripped up his statement and started shouting saying that she deserved everything that she got. She was lucky that I came in otherwise he would have finished the job.
Becky was trembling in my arms at these words escaping his lips. I wasn't sure if she would be able to take the stand but she was adamant that she was going to do this. I squeezed her hand and kissed her forehead letting her know that I was right here to support her. She walked towards the stand confidently. She had to retell her story, she gave them background information about her life with him before she left fearing her life.
The defence lawyer objected to her giving this background information as he believed that it wasn't relevant to the case but it was overruled as the judge believed it had everything to do with the case at hand. She told the story of what happened to make her leave him and what happened to her in the attack.
She had to sit down at one point as she was shaking continuously she looked terrified of him so she turned to look at me instead I gave her a reassuring smile and she instantly calmed down and drank some water before continuing. She was cross examined by the defence Lawyer but he had nothing on her she had an answer to every question and was adamant that she was going to get him sent down.
The judge had sent the jury to deliberate. It clearly didn't take them long as they were done within 3 hours. We were all called into the court room for the verdict. The judge asked the jury's foreman to stand and ask if they had reached a decision they replied with a yes.
The judge asked on the charge of the attempted murder of Rebecca Adams do you find the defendant Jordan Newman guilty or not guilty? They replied with a guilty verdict.
The judge then asked on the charge of committing GBH on Rebecca Adams do you find the defendant Jordan Newman guilty or not guilty. They replied with another guilty verdict.
The judge then was set to give Jordan his sentence he was given 25 years but had to serve a minimum of 15 years before he would be up for parole.
Becky was finally able to live her life not in fear of Jordan Newman. She still had nightmares but she was getting there. We now could finally relax knowing that Jordan will be behind bars away from my girls.
Jordan gave Becky a death stare and mouthed you will regret this as he struggled in the arms of the police officers. Becky tensed in my arms but then walked out with such confidence. We were on the way home and I just held her hand in the car. I was so proud of her she was so good in there. Now we could focus on our first Christmas together.
My mum had invited everyone to hers and we had invited Amanda and David along as well as they were Becky and Bella's family. I had brought lots of presents for Bella already but I was waiting for her final one. Becky's present was to be delivered on Christmas day as it was too big for me to hide in the meantime.
Now that the trial was behind us we were finally able to focus on our future as a family. I knew I wanted to marry Becky at some point but I thought that if I asked too soon it might put her off so I decided to wait until roughly Valentines day to do that.
