Daughter of the Moon.

I jump awake from a bucket of freezing cold water that is poured over my body making me gasp for air. Beta Nick pulls me from my bed to the floor by my hair. I bite my tongue to stop myself from crying out, it would only cost me a beating. The beta kicks me in the stomach leaving me gasping for air. He laughs at me before pulling me up by my throat and punches me twice in the face and i fall to the floor. " You have 10 minutes to be down stairs or i'll be back to punish you." Before he walks away i see his foot coming for my face, once it connects i'm out cold. I come too twenty minutes later to a very pissed off beta. he storms over to where i'm standing and starts punching me again. By the time the Alpha realises i'm not in the kitchen he also comes looking for me only to find me curled on the floor protecting my head why the beta kicks at any part of my body he can. i hear the Alpha growl before darkness takes me once again. "Nick what the hell are you doing" Nick turns to me covered in her blood from the beating she has received. The bastard turns to me with a smug grin on his face. " I woke her up but she refused to come down stairs, so i punished her." " Did it have to be so bad the Alpha king arrives at noon how the hell can she cook lunch." I come too to hear the alpha talking to the beta about me not working and i know i need to save my arse and get to the kitchen to prepare lunch. I clear my throat and they both spin on me the look of shock on their face that i'm actually standing. I clear my throat again before speaking to the alpha. " I can work Alpha, if i could just have thirty minutes to clean myself up" " Be down stairs in an hour" I don't get a chance to answer before they both leave.I grab some clothes from the clothes basket I grab the half of towel i was given to dry myself on and head to my shower. It's a very small shower in the corner of my room and it only has cold water. The cold water makes my body ache more, i wash the blood off and quickly wash my hair and turn the shower off. Once i dry and dress i go to my small mirror brush my hair and twist into a bun to keep it out of my face. I make it down to the kitchen and start the preparations in twenty minutes. A few hours later the servers arrived to serve the king.I laid the plates of steak, bacon, eggs, chips and salads on separate dishes to make it easier for the servants to place them in the centre of the table. I had one of the servants place the golden table cloth that was dropped off just after i came down stairs. While i was getting desert ready i heard the most beautiful laugh i have ever heard and i couldn't help the urge to see who the laugh belonged too. I limp my way over to the kitchen door that the servants left ajar, i peek through the crack just as i hear the laugh again and my eye's locked with his. I'm lost in his eyes when i see the Beta rush out the front door and i know i'm in trouble. I hurry back to the kitchen sink as fast as my aching body will go praying i wasn't seen by the alpha or beta. I make myself busy washing the pots and pans that i didn't hear the beta behind me until he grabs me covering my mouth so i can't scream scooping his other arm around my waist . Once out side he throws me over his should before running deep into the forest over the pack border to the cliffs at the river that separates the rouges from crossing. Beta Nick throws me to the ground and i land on my back leaving me breathless and gasping for air. I don't get a chance to catch my breath when he kicks me in the stomach. He hits me a few times leaving me barely conscious before throwing me from the cliff. Alpha Jaxson P.O.V I pull up to the blue moon pack house right on lunch time, and its the last place i want to be. Alpha Blake is a cocky son of b***h who thinks he can't take any alpha down including me and his beta is worse. One day he will get that opportunity but not right now. My beta Alex clears his throat and i know i have to get out of the car. " Jaxson, we need to get out there waiting for us" I nod my head and step out of the car. I button my jacket and walk over to where Blake and Nick are standing. I shake their hands but say nothing, they lead us to a large dinning hall and we take our seats. My beta mind links me and i can't help the deep throaty laugh. Blake thought i laughed at what ever he was talking about which only made Alex come back with more insults and i laugh again. A beautiful scent of violet hits my nose and my eyes lock with her's. My wolf Jax howls and jumps in the back of my mind. " We found her Jaxson, we found our mate." I can hear the worry in his voice, our mate is covered in cuts and bruises. We will find out who done this and make them pay. I'm pulled from my thoughts when Nick rushes from the table and leaves. I glance back at the door and my mate is gone.
