As we walk back to the house, I can feel the tension between us growing. We're not touching, but I can sense her presence beside me. I glance over at her, and she smiles up at me.
We reach the house, and I lead her to my room. We walk inside, and I close the door behind us. The room is quiet, the only sound the soft hum of the air conditioning.
Chloe looks around the room, taking in the familiar surroundings. She's been in my room before, but it feels different now. It feels more intimate after all we've been through it.
I walk over to her, and she turns to face me. We stand there for a moment, looking into each other's eyes. I can feel the tension between us building, and I know that I want to be with her.
