"Lawrence......"Maria called as she knocked lightly on his door.
"Come in mom"
"Is Ka.....?"she stopped half way as she saw Kate already,sitted on Law's bed like an innocent puppy."she's here and she's fine as well so you don't have to worry plus I would take very good care of her"were Maria's last statements before she hanged up the call.This wasn't the first time for an incident like this to occur,Kate has been running away from home since she practically turned six,she sh a smart one right?.
"Good evening aunt"Kate muttered with a nervous smile plastered on her face.
"Evening...."Maria replied returning the smile back.
"Mum I can explain"law cut in wanting to defend his best buddy.
"Not another word from you"Maria snapped at him.
"Auntie I can explain"Kate chipped in.
"Yeah plz do,but first let's hop to my room"Maria ushered.
Maria and Kate were about Leaving the room when Lawrence spoke.
"Is that blood..?"and both ladies stopped on their track.
"On wh...?"she didn't finish the question before she noticed Kate trouser was stained with blood on the butt area.
"On you Kate"Law muttered.
"Me..,where..?"Kate questioned in panick,and Lawrence couldn't help but laugh.
"That's not funny"Kate snapped at lawLawre as she thought he was joking.
"It's your flow"Maria said to clear the confusion"we better go now"Maria offered as she ushered Kate to her room.
Maria had Kate shower while she went to borrow some clothes from Law as Kate would bluntly refuse putting on Milla's clothes.
"Kate you can come out now,there is nothing to be ashamed of"Maria said as she entered into her room with clothes in handy and noticed Kate was still in the bathroom.
Kate faced palm herself feeling shy before she managed to step out of the bathroom with a towel tied around her body.
"Come here darl"Maria spoked lightly as she made Kate to sit on her bed."you are now a big baby so take this sanitary pad go in there and fix it illI be waiting so we can have some lady talk"
"Am done"Kate called on Maria who was busy attending to her wardrobe,Maria had a wide smile on her face when she turned to see Kate standing in an akward way,she had gone through this with Milla,so it wasn't her first time.
"Let's dry ya hair"she offered when she saw the bemused look on Kate."Did y la mom mention anything about this to you?"Maria asked as she worked on Kate's hair.
"She didoesn tell anything, she's always busy"Kate replied with a roll of eye balls.
"Oops,I guess she forgot.."
"Aunt you don't have to side with her all the time,you know what am saying is the truth"Kate was at it again playing with words.
"Who's talking about siding anyone"Maria said and made a fake laugh, knowing how sharp Kate could be with words."I was only saying dat maybe she forgot, she's human u know"
"Plz aunt,u work but here you are tending to your family"Kate said pointing out how lame her aunt excuse was.
"But.....am dependent,not an employee.."Maria chipped in.
"Nobody asked her to work,infact she can work her ass off for all i care"Kate muttered.
"Kate...,u shouldn't say such things she's still your mom no matter what"
"A curse I know"Kate murmured.
"Kate!!now stop it"Maria yelled, startling Kate"am sorry sweet,I didn't mean to shout at you am sorry"Maria apologized as she realized she had her temper get the best part of her.She knew kate wouldn't follow whatever she was going to say anymore and she was darn right,Kate didn't follow a thing when she was giving her the lady talk.
"Kate you know I love you,right?"Maria asked squatting to meet Kate's height,but Kate didn't reply so she continued,"See we all know you don't like your mom,and nobody can judge you for that,but as a good and well behaved girl,I know you would be well behaved with her,so give her a chance to prove her love for you and stop fighting her efforts,you are only making things hard for her,plz Kate I know you love aunt Maria and you would do anything to make her happy"Maria said tugging playfully at Kate's cheek, before she allowed her take her leave."sleep tight"she whispered as Kate left.
Kate halted her steps once she was in front of Lawrence room,her mood changing from that of anger to one of anxiety and nervousness,how does she face Lawrence now she said face palming herself in her head all thanks to this stupid flow.She slowly turned the doorknob and was delighted to see the room lights were all turned off,she hoped Law was asleep even though she knew he wasn't,she tip toed to the other bed,in order to avoid waking Law up,she would have to avoid him for the night.
She squeezed herself on the bed as she hid under the duvet,the room was akwardly sikesi and she could hear her heart beating out loudly in her ears as she tried futily to calm it down which yield to no avail, just then she heard someone climbed ontop the bed,if it wasn't Law,the next minute she could feel his breath fanning her face.
"Stop it"she yelled getting up feigning annoyance.
"Oops I thought you were asleep, weren't you?"Law teased,he loves tormenting Kate as Kate was a big tormentor herself.
"Ya..I was,if only you would let me"Kate pouted
"So you no longer want to share my bed with me anymore, since I have started smelling bad"Law said pretending to be sad.
"I didn't say that".
"You didn't have to say it,your action did"
"Really....?"
"Yeah....or am I living?"
"Ya you are"
"O...plz,for what other solid reason did u aviod to lay on my bed"
"It wasn't that and you know it"
"Then what was it?"Law questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"Law plzzzz"
"Okay, okay,so what where you doing, tell me,I probably want to know"law said anticipating Kate's reply.
"I.....I....just thought..you would feel inconvenienced with my situation,so I wanted to save you the trouble"
"Really...?","And when did I lay all yhit complains to you?"
"Huh..."
"Since when did we start assuming things about each other, instead of asking?"
"Okay...,am sorry"
"You hurt me deeply"Law said pretending to feel hurt as he pointed his forefinger at his chest.And that earned him a pillow on his face.
"Pillow fight!!"Kate screamed jumping off to Law's bed.
"Oh yeah.."law said with a devilish smile as he went after Kate.
