Accepting the offer

Jazmin's Pov

I can't believe he just said that to me. I have to marry him and make him look good, or he will get my sister sent to prison. Wow, just Wow. What a single-minded, egotistical, narcissistic, a**hole he is to throw this my way. And of course, he will think I will just fall at his feet and beg him for the chance to marry him to save my sister. I need to think this out and come up with a plan to get him to see my side of this messed up situation. Why does he have to be so infuriatingly handsome? Ok, so I have to marry him to help him out with his image so he can move up in power, so I will get him to see how he can help us out in this situation.

I think about how I can convince Kalvet that keeping my sister here with us will benefit our marriage. I need my sister for support, and I need to have someone to talk to and help me plan out the wedding. At the end of the wedding, she can go with his brother Tarik and learn how to help with his cyber problems.

I would also like for Jozlyn and I to learn more about his brother. We know nothing about him. Well, I'm

going to find Kalvet and talk to him and see what he says, I hope he agrees with me on some of this. I reach Kalvet's office, and the door is slightly open. As I get closer, I hear Kalvet and another voice I don't recognize talking about Jozlyn. When I get close enough, I can see it is his brother because he looks like him. I try to listen, and I must have made a noise somehow because they both look to the door and say at the same time, "Come inside, Jazmyn"

I walk inside the office slowly, and Kalvet motions for me to sit in front of him in the chair. I do as he asks and sits down. When he looks over at his brother, Tarik is smirking at him. I get angry at this and start to say something, but Tarik puts his hand up to stop me. I close my mouth and look at Kalvet, and he shakes his head perceptively slow. I swallow and wonder what I just walked into. The way they are looking at me is scary. The first to speak is Tarik, and he says to me," I know we haven't met formally, and you want to know why I need your sister to come with me. So, I'm going to answer you. I am Kalvet's brother Tarik, and I own a technology company that has been hacked into several times but should not have been because of the security I have. So Jozlyn will be useful. I want her to move in with me so I can help her learn and keep an eye on her, for her safety and ours. I hope you understand a little better as to what is going on. I will take care of her."

I sit there speechless after Tarik has told me all that information. I cleared my throat and then looked at him and told him,"Thank you for explaining the situation to me. Did you talk to Jozlyn? Also, thank you for being generous and taking care of her while she's in your care. That means a lot to me. I do have a question to ask both of you." I look over at Kalvet, whose eyes are stormy right now, I have no idea why. Ok, here goes nothing. "Kalvet, I was wondering if Jozlyn could stay with us long enough to help with the wedding. I would like to have my sister for support. When the wedding is over, I will not fight you on her leaving to go with Tarik. Tarik, I want to make sure this is ok with you as well." I wait patiently as they look at each other and nod in agreement. Kalvet looks at me with a smile and asks me,"Does this mean you will marry me?" I look at him, get up off the chair and look him in the eyes and say the two words he is waiting for." "Yes,Sir."

I was picked up and kissed so deeply I couldn't breathe. When Kalvet let me breathe, I smiled at him and promised I would make this work. He looked over at his brother, and Tarik said, "I agree to your terms Jazmin until the wedding is over, then she is mine to deal with." I nodded in his direction and said, "Thank you, " and then asked if I could be excused. Kalvet let me go and told me I was good and let me leave the room. I'm not sure why I demurely let my guard down, but something inside me told me this was the easiest way to keep everything calm and not into a fight we wouldn't win. I would rather play nice than have to deal with anger and attitude. I really don't want to meet the darker side of either man if it's avoidable. I go in search of my sister and find her in her room. I say hi, and she looks up at me with tears in her eyes. I asked her what's wrong and she told me she didn't like Tarik and she's afraid of him. I asked her what happened, and she just shook her head and started to cry again. I have a feeling I'm not going to like the answer I get, but I press on and soothe my sister. I asked her again what had happened. She blew out a breath and looked at me and said the last thing I thought I would hear. Jozlyn said, "He kissed me and told me he wants to f*uck me so hard I scream his name so loud it shakes the walls."I groan and hugged her so hard and told her I'd talk to him. She told me no.
