I woke up this morning with the sun in my eyes. I roll over and push the pillow away and debate whether to get up. With a sigh, I get up. I decided I couldn't wait to get to the casino to see how this interview with that girl Jazmin is going to go. I wasn't excited about her interviewing for the assistant job, but Mikal said she is good at her job. I guess I'll have to see for myself. Well, enough thinking about a girl I don't know. I get up and go to the bathroom and take my shower. I go to my closet and pick out a nice black suit and white shirt with a red tie. I wanted to make a good impression on my new secretary. I smirk to myself and get dressed.
I head downstairs to the kitchen and grab some coffee and an egg sandwich. I always like to eat something quick and healthy. I head outside, and my driver George is waiting by the back door. He nods at me and opens it so I can get in. The drive to the casino gives me time to think about this interview. What should I ask her, "How well do you do your job, do you want to show me?" That doesn't sound lascivious at all. I arrive at the casino, and as I am heading through the front door, when one of my security guys runs towards me and says there is a problem. I follow him and tell him to show me. I keep thinking, great, just what I need so early in the morning. I guess it's going to be one of those days.
I head to the security room and ask Stephen, one of my security guys, what the problem is that I needed to come see. Stephen looks at me, a frown causing his face to look dark and says to me," Jazmin, Mikal's secretary, was seen stealing money out of the vault last night. It's on the video feed. I'll show you, and then if you want to, we can get her and bring her up here, and you can talk to her." I look at Stephen and then at the screen and realize this is the woman who is supposed to be interviewed by me today. Oh, this is going to be fun. I look at Stephen and say,"Stephen, It's ok, I'll handle this one myself. When I'm done questioning her, she will be begging me not to fire her."
I called Mikal, who is her boss for now, and told him to meet me in my office. Mikal shows up and looks at my face and knows something is wrong. "What's wrong boss, why do you look like you want to punch someone?" I look at Mikal and ask him how much he knows about Jazmin. Mikal looks at me with a blank look on his face and says, "Jazmin has worked for us for 5 years, faithful, hardworking, quiet as a mouse. May I ask why you're asking me this?" I reply, with an evil smirk, "She stole money from the vault last night, and I'm going to find out how and why." Mikal's face pales, and I know he is scared for Jazmin's safety. See, I don't take kindly to people stealing from me or my company.
I guess I'll have to see where this ends. Hopefully, I don't have to fire her, and it is all just a misunderstanding. For Jazmin's sake, I sure hope it is. I don't take it lightly when my future wellbeing is at stake because someone thought they could just steal from me and get away with it. I have a lot of people counting on me to make things go smoothly here at the casino and hotel. I don't like a whole lot of drama, and this is a sh*t load of drama. I walk to her desk and wait for her to look up at me. She lifts her head as she asks how she can help me. I smile, lick my lips, and tell her to come with me. She blinks and then says," Why would I go with you, I don't know you. Where is Mikal. I need to talk to him." I take my phone out of my pocket and call Mikal. She seems surprised. I know his number, and then recognition hits her, and she realizes who I am. She frowns and gets up from her desk and gestures for me to lead the way. This is definitely going to be fun.
