The Meeting

I just made it to the restaurant and found Mikal and Tarik at the table. We always sit in the corner so we can see everyone. My brother Tarik is 25, with blond hair and blue eyes, and he is just as cold as I am. Tarik looks at me, stands up, grabs my palm, and gives me a hug. "Nice to see you Kalvet, how's everything been going?" I look at my brother and say," I have a couple of things going on, and I need your help with one of them. The thing I need help with is the money that was stolen from me. I'm not sure how she got in the safe. It needs to be figured out so it doesn't happen again. There has to be a tracker on the money. I need you to see if there is any surveillance that caught anything we didn't see.I need to find my out who did it and why, fast." My brother looks at me and then to Mikal and says,"Mikal couldn't find anything. He's just as good as I am." Mikal shakes his head, looks over to me and waits until I nod and then says," I have been busy with other things but I did try everything I know how to do and found nothing, which really pi**es me off." Tarik laughs and assures us that once we give him all the info, he will see what he can find out, but it will cost me. Can't wait to hear what this is.

I'm satisfied with his answer and shake my head to acknowledge him and his stipulation.You see, my brother is Tarik Carmada, and he is the head of Carmada Technological Industries, which is something he built from the bottom up. He is a great asset to have, and our businesses are connected. His second-hand guy is Joseph Stallings, and he is from my brother's past, a good friend. They are close and work well together. Tarik is rivals with Rivera Technological Industries who have been a thorne in his side for the past 2 years. I know I have the advantage because Rivera's daughter works for me, and as I just found out, he has another. So, leverage I can use if need be.

We talk about Jazmin, and Tarik looks over at me, smirks, and says," Did my brother finally meet his greatest challenge? Do you like her?" I shake my head. I look at Mikal, and then my brother, they both say at the same time," Sure boss, whatever you say." Mikal gets up, tells us to F*ck off, and says he'll see me later and leaves. I can't believe they threw that in my face. It really makes me see red when they do that. I need to get home and get my thoughts straight. I go outside, see Stephen holding open my door. I go to get in and see my brother Tarik in the seat, smiling and I growl," She is my assistant , and her sister stole $500,000 from us, so right now she is a means to an end, nothing more." Malik and I look at each other. He smiles with the door open to the car, and I get in. When I get home, I take a hot shower and try to unwind, lying in my bed. All I can see when I close my eyes is Jazmin and her sweet face, and that p*sses me off more than anything right now.
