Jazmin's Proposal

I wake up and look at my clock again for the 3rd time. I apparently can't sleep because it is 4 am. I never heard from Jozlyn, and I'm getting worried. I get up and change into workout clothes and go for a run. An hour later, I get back and take a shower. I come out of the bathroom and right at my bedroom door is my sister. I look at her. She looks like she has seen a ghost because she literally looks like one. She is pale, dirty, and thin, like she hasn't been eating and been hiding in dirty places. She looks at me and says," Hey, sis, sorry it took so long to come see you, I've been hiding from the goons from the Carmada Hotel and Casino. I owe them so much money. I am scared."

I look at my sister, put my arms out for her, and beckon her to me for a hug. I haven't seen her for months. She is so thin. I look at her and ask how she got into so much debt. She looks at me and groans and says," I tried to get clean, sis. I really did, but it is so hard. I owed my dealer so much money, and he was going to make me work for him to pay him back. Do you know how long that would take to pay him back? I would have to work for him until I die and still owe him money." I will have to figure out a way to protect her because I know that my boss will make her pay for stealing from him regardless if she's my sister or not.

I get my sister to take a shower and change into some clean clothes. We go out to dinner at a little restaurant that's open all night,and I pay so she doesn't have to worry about being able to afford her food. I let her stay with me until we can figure something out to get her out of this mess. This will be good so I can catch up with her and find out what's been going on. It has been a while since we seen each other, and I want to know what she's been up to and how she got in so much trouble. Tomorrow, we'll figure everything else out.

"Ok, let me think," I say to Jozlyn, and she just shakes her head. She knows I will protect her no matter what, and she feels bad. She is very smart and doesn't let anyone know. Jozlyn is a computer wiz, maybe I can get her job with my boss's company and that way she can pay the money back that way. Maybe she can do some computer jobs on the side and make extra to pay it off faster. I'll talk to Mr. Carmada and see where he stands on the suggestion. I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm sure it's going to be a hard no, but it can't hurt to try and ask him. I can be sweet and nice when I need to be. Hell, he'll probably want to meet her, too. See for himself that we're actually identical twins.
