I walk into the office and head into Kalvet's office, look in the corner, and say ," Hello, Mr. Carmada, I hope your morning has been good. I'll just go to my desk and get started." He looks up at me and proceeds to give me instructions on what needs to be done today before I leave. It sounds like he thinks I'm not capable of doing my job. This is really starting to p*ss me off. I look at him and say," That shouldn't be a problem sir, where would you like the meeting to be?" He tells me Massimo's Italian Restaurant, and I make sure to write it down and get the reservation.
This is not much work to do, some emails, filing, dry cleaners, and a meeting. I wonder if he thinks I'm a ditz, Malik wouldn't let me work for Mr.Carmada if he didn't think I could do the job. I think he is testing me, my attitude, my loyalty, and my ability to follow orders. Well, I can say he will be getting an attitude if he keeps talking to me like he's a caveman and I'm an i***t. He seriously just told me there will be consequences if I don't complete my tasks. Who talks like that, I mean, it threw me for a loop. What would those consequences be? I look at him with a confused look and stammer out an ummm, uuh. Yeah, that sounded professional, but what the heck was I supposed to say to that? Oh, yes Sir, please show me. I don't think so.
I need to call my sister Jozlyn and see where she is at. I know she was seen on the surveillance, and I just acted like I didn't know who it was. It looked like me. We are identical twins. Except, Jozlyn doesn't think. She is impulsive and gets into a lot of trouble that I have to help bail her out of. I won't be able to help too much with her latest impulse. She stole money from Mr.Carmada, my boss. I think he thinks it's me. That's why he has me so close, I wonder if Mikal thinks so, too. I'm in deep sh*t, I won't survive this if I can't convince them it was a mistake. I'll pay it back, but I know how they work. It won't be enough to just pay it back. They are going to want an example of what happens when you cross the boss. I don't want either of us to be that example.
Jozlyn's phone is ringing, but she doesn't answer, I left a message. "Hey, Jozlyn, it's your sister. Where are you, honey? I need to talk to you, it is important. Very important. Call me back, ASAP. Love you." Ok, now I have to wait and see if she calls me, we need to figure out what we're going to do about the money. Jozlyn broke in after the casino closed, got into the vault somehow, and stole $500,000. I didn't find out until I came into work the next day. I was under questioning for hours. I know it's why everything has changed for me. They think it's me, and they want to catch me in the act. Too bad it's not me, and I won't give up my twin so easily.
I wait and wait, it's been 4 hours and I haven't heard from Jozlyn yet. I don't like it when she doesn't answer. I guess I'll take a shower and then grab some food and watch some t.v. until I fall asleep. I have to get up early for work, so I can't stay up too late. I'll get in trouble big time if I'm late. I'll try calling her again in the morning.
