He was sitting in his alpha office when his phone rang, flashing up Councilman George. He answered good morning councilman George what can he do for you?.

"I was just letting you know that my niece arrived last night and will be starting at the university today and to remind you of our agreement to leave her be, if she needs anything she will contact myself or professor Matthews is that clear?." George said.

Max huffed but complied with the councilman and hung up. Max found it strange that he was requested 3 months ago by Councilman George to let a woman join his university but wasn't allowed to know anything about her and wasn't allowed to ask questions about her. In the end, after all his complaining phone calls, he was finally allowed to know her name Freya and that she was the new history professor. It was very frustrating. He liked to be incontrol of everything as his brother Zack was more laid back and had said.

"We will know when we are meant to." Zack being laid back wasn't helpful. His brother was an a**, but still, his brother and we run this pack together. Our office door opens, and in walks Zack, "Why am i an a** this time?" while laughing at him. He just had a call from Councilman George to remind us of the rules concerning Freya. How we meant to protect her if we knew nothing about her life.

"Just leave it be Max, we will find out in time," then Zack laughed. Why are you here anyway, all annoyingly happy?

"Well for one this is my office aswel and second i came to remind you we have the university drinks welcome party later, and if you want to get changed as we need to at least show our faces. I know you're not a fan of these things, but we are the Alphas, and we should make an appearance." Zack said.

Fine, he'll go, but he's only giving you an hour tops, Zack laughed, walking out of the office. He wasn't a fan of any form of party. The only reason he ever went to any function was a chance to find our mate or mates. He knew he wouldn't at the university today as the only new person was Freya, and he doubted he'll see her as we weren't allowed to interact with her. He still thinks it's ridiculous that we can't ask her anything.

He finished up the paperwork he was doing, He has meetings at our human business headquarters all day tomorrow. We own a law firm and a security firm and an airline. So, he needs to go and check in. His father's old unit now run them, but every so often, he has to show his face. Since his father died, we have taken over everything, and we mostly split things between he and Zack.

He deals with the business, and Zack deals with the pack with the help of our Beta. Who is away at the moment at his mates pack Oak River Pack and showing off their new baby to her family and friends. It's only a few hours away.They met here at a mating ball a couple of years ago and have been inseparable ever since.

He didn't bother changing. He was in a three piece suit, he looked smart enough, he went and grabbed some food in case he didn't like the food at the party, he hadn't eaten all day . He saw the packs Gamma Chris and Delta Leo sat eating and he had a catch up with them. Both are still unmated. Chris and Leo are both in charge of the training at the moment, and Zack and he split the weekend training between us. Both mostly take care of the pack maintenance and buildings and forest and surrounding areas.

Both are helping out with the training as Carlton, our Beta, is away, and Carlton mostly does the training with him and Zack during the week. We do a pack Alpha unit training session at the weekend with their warriors. The rest of the time is Carlton and Piper, our head warrior, do all the warriors training

He was walking to his car and then thought no, Zack dragged him to this thing. Zack can drive us, and he could least have a drink. He got in Zack truck, put his feet up on the dash, and saw Zack walking toward him.

"Comfy, are we?" he said. Well, since you're dragging him to this thing, you can drive, and he'll have a drink. "Fair enough, you'll be better company with alcohol in you," Zack said, laughing.

We arrived at the hall and as soon as he walked in, he could smell the sweetest thing he had ever smelled before, Onxy his wolf was shouting mate, "mate is here find her now". He looked at Zack, and his wolf was doing the same. He was looking round as this person hadn't made themselves known to him or his brother.

He followed the scent, and it took him straight to Professor Mathew's. He roared at him. Who was you just with? Professor Mathew's looked more than shocked and bent his neck in submission.

"I was just speaking with Freya, our new history professor," Dean said. She left the room?

"Yes, she wasn't feeling well and was very tired." Dean said. He looked at Zack."Where is she staying? Zack asked.

"She lives in a cottage, east side of the woods about a 40-minute walk." Dean said.

Let's go, Zack. We need to find out why she ran from us. He's scented her, so she must have done the same with us? So why run from us?. He's never met her before. Why?. He turned to the professor. He is sorry for the outburst. Please enjoy your evening, but we will be going. Please come to his office tomorrow morning if they was anything you wanted to discuss with him this evening.

He walked toward the door waiting for Zack he was making his apologies to the professor as well. Come on, let go.

"Walking, running, or car?" Zack asked.

Running. They both walked outside and ran the whole way in human form. Our wolves assisted with speed. Let's go find her.
