Jane and I spent the couple of hours talking about music, food, and whatever else came up. We click way better than I ever thought we would. She’s definitely the smart one, and I know she’ll make sure our kids get a proper education. It honestly makes me laugh because I hated school and only graduated from high school by pure luck. Still, if it’s important to my girl, I’m all in.
After Jane fell asleep in my arms, I laid her down and kissed her forehead. There was no telling how she would be if she woke up in the morning and found me beside her, so I chose not to risk it and laid down on the lumpy air mattress by the bedroom door.
