We all spent the past two days taking turns at Savannah’s bedside, keeping watch for any changes. The bruises were fading on her face and, thankfully, there were no changes in her vitals that would have prompted them to do any intervention.
Glory and Simone washed Savannah’s hair for her and rubbed lotion into her elbows and feet. My heart warmed at how they cared for their sister and talked to her. Simone told Chaos that Savannah loved to read, and her favorite story was Little Women. I still secretly chuckle about how Chaos went out and bought the book to read to her.
