16. Tricked Whom?

Sophia's POV.

When his friend told me that he liked the lollipop in his childhood, trust me I was surprised. Don't know why but I was surprised.

Maybe because, till now whatever I had seen, it is hard for me to believe that he was even a kid. Whereas me,

I am still a kid.

Rick was dragging Sam away from me while grabbing his neck. Even Sam was struggling in his deadly grip and here I thought, I can push him away.

I really wanted to push him, kick him but all I did was kissed him. Kissed him as my life was depended on him. 

Maybe you wanted to kiss him too. 

"Shut up, just shut up," I asked my inner voice to shut up. Sometimes, I really didn't like it. It's very annoying. 

I didn't realize that I said it out loud. Eve and Emara were sitting in front of me eating and throwing popcorns at each other. 

"Wow, didn't know that we are also present in your fantasy world and annoying you there also." Eve teased me as she mocked.

"For what you are saying 'shut up' to us? We weren't even talking to you." Emara said while throwing popcorn at me. 

I facepalmed myself and threw the popcorn on Emara. Suddenly Eve asked me something I was fearing that she would ask.

"By the way, you didn't tell me who called you and why and where?" 

My eyes started to wander here and there and my brain started to find some genuine excuse to feed Eve. I looked at her and she raised her eyebrows. 

"Well, Sir had called me for some work regarding...fest, annual fest" I replied to her and she creased her eyebrows, didn't buy my lies at all. That's the problem with her, she would not believe you for the first time. 

You need to master the art of lying before lying to her. 

"But the guy who came to ask for you said 'HE' wants to meet you, instead of saying Professor is calling you? Why so?" Eve's suspicious brain has activated and I knew that there was no escape from it.

But me being me, I had tried again.

"NO, Eve. The guy said that 'he wants to meet me now,' so means he just forgot to mention that Professor wants to meet me. Nothing else."

Eve narrowed her eyes at me and I was sure she was going to ask me more questions. But even before Eve could ask, Emara dropped a bomb by asking something which I have never thought she would ask.

"Sophia didn't you tell her about your encounter with Mr. Genius. Eve, you should know about it. Somehow, no one was believing that Sophia and he met, but when he said that he met Sophia, everyone was shocked. Including the Professor."

Emara has a problem and that is that she doesn't understand sign language. All this while when she was opening her mouth wide and telling Eve everything, I was giving her signs to shut up with my hand and eyes gestures, but she didn't stop.

Eve was looking at me more suspiciously now. I knew I was in trouble because Eve doesn't tolerate lies and she had always a strong and intimidating personality, with a suspicious brain. 

"So, who is this Mr. Genius Emara, because I am sure Sophia will not tell me?"

Here I got the sarcastic slap. 

"Umm, Mr. Genius is Rick Scott from Mechanical Engineering Department." 

Emara told Eve everything and anything she knew. I could see the questions rising inside the eyes of Eve and telling me that she wanted to know more. 

"So they both are dating?"

The juice I was drinking came out of my mouth, listening to the conclusion of Eve. I looked at her with shock and was about to say something when someone's else voice joined our conversation.

"No, they aren't. And Rick is my boyfriend."

I turned around to see it and it was Cindy, with her other two puppets. She was looking at us as if she wants to eat us alive. 

Eve stood up from her place and looked at Cindy very carefully. All of a sudden, a deadly playful smirk appeared on Eve's face. I got scared looking at that look on her face. 

"Well, nobody knew that Rick Scott has a girlfriend named Cindy, who is a hoe."

The whole cafeteria became silent listening to Eve calling Cindy hoe. Emara had her mouth clamped with her hand whereas I had wide eyes and mouth. 

"How dare you?" 

Cindy's eyes were on fire when she looking at Eve. I immediately start to pray that they don't start a real fight because if they did, Cindy and her friends were be going to the hospital for sure.

"Come on Cindy, everyone knows it. And moreover, you know that I know much about it."

Me, along with Emara, Cindy, and her friends, had creased eyebrows as we couldn't understand what Eve meant. 

Eve smirked at Cindy as she said, "Row Hotel, date 24th August, last year. Room No. 106. Remember?"

Cindy's eyes got wide enough to fall from her socket. Whereas, all of us were trying to know what was the conversation about?

"It's better that I should tell everyone what I am talking about?" Eve said and Cindy looked at her with anger burning in her eyes. 

I along with Emara was adoring Eve this time. When Cindy tricked me into the boy's locker room and insulted me, I told everything to Emara and she said that we would take revenge, but now seeing Eve, we didn't need to do anything.

Eve is enough for her. 

"No, you won't say anything." 

Cindy said it out loud and Eve laughed at her instantly. Seeing Eve laughing like that, I was getting more and more curious about the thing she was talking about Cindy.

"Well, you got it wrong. I'll tell that whenever I want."

Eve's reply edged me to the peak of my curiosity. Not only me but everyone surrounding us. This is what I always loved about her. 

"The way you tricked him was awesome but sadly, you got all wrong." 

With that Eve started to laugh and Cindy got all angered. Cindy walked to Eve to slap her and when she was about to slap Eve, Eve hold her hand tightly. 

"Don't you dare b***h. I can and I will break your bones within few seconds."

Cindy was struggling to get her hand out of Eve's hand. I moved to them to calm both of them. The matter was getting out of hand. 

"Guys stop."

"You stay away from this Sophia," Eve ordered me and I immediately stepped back. That's Eve's warning tone.

I was praying for this to get over but it seems like it was going to last long. I still couldn't understand that what Eve was talking about that made Cindy this mad?

And whom Cindy tricked?
