61 Hugh pulled Jacob aside. “I need to talk to you in private.” Jacob tensed. Though he’d tried to hide them, his feelings for Kat had not gone unnoticed. He wondered if word had gotten back to Hugh about that, or about his leadership, or something else. Hugh led him to his living quarters and opened the door, only to be attacked by a herd of kitties. “It appears that I have roommates,” Hugh chuckled, then sank into the couch, where they proceeded to climb all over him.
