Ella's POV The night was cold and silent, but just too silent I thought I slowed my steps a little. The street I walked every night after work was never this quiet. No passing cars, no distant voices, not even the hum of electricity from the streetlights. “Okay… this is weird,” I muttered, hugging my bag closer. A sharp sound cracked behind me, footsteps there were fast. I froze not knowing what to do. My heart started beating fast, it felt like it was no longer in my chest, as I slightly turned and saw shadows on the ground, my hands trembled. They were coming closer, before I could run, they came out of the darkness. Tall men quiet, just staring at me. My breath got stuck as they moved closer and surrounded me. “Please… just let me go,” I said, my voice shaking. No one said anything. One of them stepped closer, “Help” I screamed. “Leave her alone!” I heard someone said It was Claire, my best friend and also my coworker in work. The men charge towards claire without a second thought I had never seen Claire a that before, she was so brave. I always thought she looked fragile, like she couldn’t even hurt a fly. But she fought back with everything she had. Still… they were stronger than her. They overpowered her. “Claire!” I shouted. Then suddenly, I felt a sharp sting in my neck, like a syringe. One of the men had injected something into me. My body went weak almost immediately. Everything started spinning… then everything went black. When I opened my eyes again, I was in an unknown building. My whole body hurts, I was tried to a chair And Claire… she was there too. She was badly wounded, barely moving. “please spare us” I begged crying with my two hands together “Do you want money?" He grabbed the man’s arm mid-air and twisted it sharply, a loud crack filled the room, the man screamed and was thrown across the floor like he weighed nothing. He crashed into the wall hard. “Stop… please stop…” I whispered, but no one listened. They kept coming at him, again and again. But Keal moved differently… like he could see everything before it happened. That was when I started noticing something strange. They weren’t normal men. One of them suddenly stopped moving like a human. His body bent weirdly… like something inside him was breaking. I froze. “No… no way…” I whispered. Then it happened. Bones cracked loudly, his body twisted and changed shape right in front of my eyes, hair burst out from his skin, his face stretched. He turned into a wolf. A real wolf. My mouth opened in shock, “What… what is happening…” I stammered. Then another one changed too, and another. In seconds, the room was filled with wolves growling and circling Keal. My whole body went cold. “They are not human…” I whispered. “Keal please leave” I begged crying But then Keal did something I never expected. He changed too. Right in front of me.
