It was a wonderful day. The cloudy blue sky enhanced the cheerful atmosphere. The territory of the Arres Pack had been blessed. The Moon Goddess had foretold the coronation of the new Alpha. Alpha Duke Shanzces is the heir to his father, Alpha Cedd King, who abdicated. "I, Alpha Cedd King, have accepted you, Alpha Duke Shanzces, as the Alpha to lead the Aress Pack territory." Everybody was cheering. The beating of the drums was the signal for the coronation of the Alpha Duke to take over his father's responsibilities. "I, Alpha Duke Shanzces, will accept this throne with pride, Alpha Cedd!" "I will carry out all of my duties as an Alpha!" The blessing was all around them. The happy faces of the werewolves looked up at a dashing man standing on a boulder with a crown on his head. "Alpha Duke! You have officially become the Alpha of the Arres Pack! Congratulations!" Lord Hartman stood before Alpha Duke. He bowed politely. Theo Hartman is a Watcher who bridges communication between moon prophecy and werewolves. "Your Luna mate is waiting for you!" Ayyana Harley approached Alpha Duke. She had dressed herself in a beautiful gown. Her face was made up to attract the attention of men. Ayyana Harley is the youngest daughter of Alpha Thaumas, the leader of the Huxley Pack. However, Ayyana was not blessed with a beautiful face or perfect physical features. She is an ugly, self-loathing duckling. Despite that, Ayyana had gathered her confidence to face Alpha Duke this morning. "What?" Alpa Duke approached Ayyana. "Are you saying that she is my mate?" Lord Hartman nodded his head. "The Moon Goddess has given a prophecy to you, Alpha Duke." Alpha Duke was a strong man. His physique was tall and muscular. Both his arms were well-muscled, and his stomach had strong abdominal muscles. Alpha Duke was the ideal man for the ladies in Arres' territory. "Who is she?" asked Alpha Duke. "I've never seen her ugly face!" Ayyana looked at Duke. Ayyana's heart was broken. Alpha Duke had insulted her in front of many people. "I am Ayyana Harley, Alpha Duke," Ayyana answered politely. She lowered her tone so softly. Alpha Duke smirked at Ayyana. He pinched Ayyana's chin with his fingers. "Harley? Are you from the Huxley Pack?" Ayyan nodded. "So ... the little froggy girl is all grown up!" Alpha Duke laughed. He summoned the laughter of his people to insult Ayyana. Ayyana's lenses glazed over with tears of disappointment. "Ayyana Harley! I, Alpha Duke Shanzcess, reject you as my mate!" Alpha Duke had surprised all his people. He decided without judgment. Ayyana was disappointed. She kept the shame inside. Ayyana didn't want to ask why Alpha Duke rejected her without judging. Ayyana is a fat and ugly woman. She wasn't as beautiful as her sister, Lady Dame Harley. "Go back to hide yourself, Ayyana Harley," Alpha Duke whispered to Ayyana. "I will not accept an ugly frog to serve me all night and give birth to a son." Ayyana looked up at him. "Is it just because I'm ugly, Alpha Duke?" Ayyana finally asked. "You already know the answer to that, Ayyana." Alpha Duke nodded his head. "Luna's face is a perfect woman!" Alpha Duke looked at the people around him. "So many women around here have immediately accepted me as their mate!" Everyone's attention was fixed on Ayyana. The fat girl didn't deserve to wear a long dress like that. Her fat curves were visible. "Luna is the perfect woman, Ayyana!" Alpha Duke turned to Ayyana again. "The Arres territory will be tainted if you become a Luna!" Ayyana began shedding her tears. She glanced at the Alpha Duke silently. "Ayyana, I am sorry. I have made you wear a dress that looks torturing your body!" The Alpha Duke laughed. Alpha Duke spoke again. "You must have spent all day trying to make up your big face!" Ayyana wiped away the tears on her face. "Why are you insulting me, Alpha Duke?" "Are you feeling shy when I judge you before everyone?" Alpha Duke looked at his people. "I'm sure that my people would agree, Lady Ayyana." Ayyana didn't respond to Alpha Duke's insults, which hurt her heart. She walked away. Ayyana ran passed the crowds in front of her. She had been shamed. Everybody belittles her because she is ugly. Ayyana returned to the inn. Everyone was surprised when Ayyana arrived while in tears. The girl ran away, ignoring the people about to question her. Finally, Ayyana fell because she stepped on her dress. "Ouch!" Ayyana fell. Lady Dame approached her little sister. She helped Ayyana up. "What's wrong with you, Ayyana?" Ayyana was silent as she sobbed. Her tears had washed off the makeup on her face. "Ayyana, tell me, what happened in Arres palace?" Lady Dame forced Ayyana to speak. Ayyana looked at the Lady Dame. "Why am I looking like this, Lady Dame?" "What are you talking about, huh? I don't understand." Lady Dame wiped away Ayyana's tears. "Did they insult you?" Ayyana and Lady Dame weren't siblings. They were born to different mothers. It was a unique occurrence to get flashbacks of their parents. Ayyana was the biological daughter of Alpha Thaumas and Luna Muiriene, the legitimate heirs of Alpha. Meanwhile, Lady Dame was born from Alpha Thaumas' affair with his mistress, Amabel. However, the mistress's daughter became the Huxley Pack's new symbol. As they talked, a guard approached them suddenly. "Lady Dame, Alpha Duke of Arres Pack is here." Lady Dame nodded and let the man go. She turned to Ayyana and smiled. "Alpha Duke must have come to catch up with you, Ayyana." "I believe there was a misunderstanding between you two." Lady Dame helped Ayyana to her feet and led her to walk. Lady Dame smiled at Ayyana. "You should wipe away your tears and then let see the Alpha Duke." "He has insulted me, Lady Dame." Ayyana refused. She shook her head. "I am too shy to face him." Lady Dame encouraged Ayyana. "You must meet him. I will accompany you." Ayyana and Lady Dame walked out of the room. Alpha Duke and his guards were waiting for them at the door. "Alpha Duke, my respectful greetings," Lady Dame said and bowed before Alpha Duke. She looked at Duke with a gentle smile. "Have you come to take my sister as your mate?" Alpha Duke smiled wryly. "I am here to take you as my mate, Lady Dame." Lady Dame was surprised. She turned to Ayyana. "Luna's face for the honorable territory of Arres is you, Lady Dame." The Alpha Duke knelt as he handed the ring to Lady Dame. "You must accompany me to the Arres territory, Lady Dame." Next.
