A Month Later
The dark room had no sounds but the time ticking and fan spinning. There was no sound of tears rolling but Rai kept crying silently. For the past month she had tried to stay strong but slowly her patience was fading and she kept coming at verge of mental breakdown.
Rai wanted to go to her parents, but in this situation, she was not sure if that was the good idea given the situation, they were in. Nothing had been the same in their lives since they heard the news from Brigadier General, every time a follow up was taken no useful information came out.
Swapna had turn hostile towards Rai and kept blaming the young 25-year-old mother for her son’s k********g.
Weeping in her bed alone Rai kept praying to God to bring her Parth back to her.
It was in the evening when the Brigadier General came to visit their house in his army uniform along with some other officials and young soldiers to break the new of Parth’s death to his wife and mother.
Although Rai was already sad this news took her to a next level and she collapsed on the ground with the baby in her hand.
She woke up in the bed and found her weeping mother Rita, holding her babbling daughter. Rita told her that the Brigadier General had informed them of Parth’s arrival tomorrow and it lead to another breakdown on Rai’s side.
