Chapter 2: The Ruthless Alpha Of The Blood Moon Pack

Pov Alpha Alonzo "Enzo" Price

I had just finished f**king this girl named something sluty Veronica I think. She was this skimpy omega I used for release. She meant nothing to me did she have hopes I would choose her as a mate probably but that would never happen. As soon as I was done with her she tried to cuddle me that was a big no. I asked her to grab her things and leave. I hadn't given up on finding a mate. I was 24 though so I was pushing it. The elders were breathing down my neck about settling down and extending my line.

When she left I got up and went to my room. I never bring anyone in here. I had a specific room where I would take my toy for a few hours and I would never sleep next to them. I have made it clear these are it was physical and nothing more. I took a shower and put on some bottoms and got in bed.

I live up to the cold ruthless Alpha persona people have given me. No one knew I was pretty decent and lonely. I had two brothers and my best friend/ Beta they were the only ones to truly know me. Honestly, if anyone truly knew why I was such an a**hole they would feel sorry for me. I didn't need that s**t so I just made it clear no one was to speak of the matter ever.

I was left to raise my two brothers when my dad and mom. Well to be exact "Stepmom" died in a rouge attack.

I was only 18 when it happened. I was a rebellious kid and I decided to go out and party. Instead of being with them. Well, that day happens to haunt my dreams every night. F**k I regret that day and if I could take everything back I would. Instead of lashing out at her I would have hugged her and told her how much I loved her but no I had to remind her she wasn't truly my mother.

**FLASHBACK**

My dad was yelling at me.

"Will you grow the f**k up your family needs you!" he growled

"Why do you need me? it was just a small rouge attack no one died! the warriors took care of it. I just want to go out... your the Alpha... plus no one in this pack truly believes the bastard child of their all-mighty Alpha. Should be next in line. They all believe the child your wife gave you is supposed to be the next Alpha. The one born out of love. Not the mistake you had at 17!" I yelled back at him.

"How many times have I told you this is your pack no matter who your mother was! no matter how you came into this world! and how many times must I tell you were not planned but you never a mistake to me" he yelled back.

"Not a mistake to you but she wanted nothing to do with me right she abandoned me and ran." I said I was so angry.

At this point, my dad's mate walked in carrying my baby brother who was only had just turned 1 She walked in she had tears in her eyes. Clearly, she had heard what I said... f**k I'm such a bastard!

"Enzo I took you in at one year old I never mistreated you have I? Your father had you when he found me and I accepted you with open arms gave all the love a child could want. I may have not gave given birth to you but I'm still your mother. I was with you every time you fell or got sick. I stayed up with you. I can't believe you would think that your brothers have something over you. You're my son just as much as they are." she said while crying.

Shit I hated it when she cried she was right she was my mother. She loved me from the first time she saw me. She allowed me to call her mom she loved like hers. Even when my brothers were born. She never stopped giving me attention and I did love her but I just wanted freedom.

I replied coldly "Yeah well bet you wish you hadn't loved me now... I have no mother." I spat turned and left. I could hear my father yelling my name but I didn't stop I just left to go to the party.

About two hours later I got a frantic call from my brother who was only 7 pleading with me to come home because he was scared... I noticed he was whispering. Then I heard my mom screaming begging to be let go. The line went dead. I felt my heart breaking I took off running and shifted shredding all my clothes not giving caring we were partying in the middle of the woods I was about 30 minutes away running in my wolf form I should be there in 15 minutes.

When I made it to the pack I was horrified there were dead bodies everywhere. The air smelled metallic from all the blood. I got a link from my dad. "go find your mom and brothers" he said. cut. I ran to the pack house taking out all the rogues that got in my way. When I arrived at the pack house I stayed in wolf form I got up stairs and the sight that greeted me was awful my heart broke even more... my mom was laying on the floor bleeding out. I quickly shifted not carrying I was naked I grabbed a table cloth and covered myself. I ran to her I was on my knees crying and telling her to hold on. She shook her head and pointed at the closed door. She used the last bit of her strength to whisper "I need you to take care of your brothers. I-i lov-" she stopped talking she had died the howls of pain and sorrow were sounding from everywhere telling everyone there luna had died. I didn't want leave her but I had to go find my dad. I quickly picked her up and moved her into a room and ran back outside. I found my dad about to be killed I ran and pushed as hard as I could. He had felt the death of his mate and had given up. Then I heard the snap and he was tossed to the side. I felt the snap of the bond I was enraged I tackled the rouge that had killed my dad I ripped his throat out. My dads Beta said "Alpha we are clear." I said nothing "Enzo that's you. It's time to step up your people need you he said. He was right "copy that can you handle clean up I gotta find my brothers?" I said "Yes Alpha" he replied. I sent a message to the closest warrior and "snapped gather my father's body and put him somewhere safe" I growled. "yes Alpha" he said. I kept running to the packhouse. Once I got the I grabbed some shorts and a Hoodie I was covered in blood. I did want my brother to see me this way.

I ran to the door my mom pointed at it was Hunter's room. The door was locked so I kicked in "Hunt" I called "it's me Hunter... it's Enzo buddy" I said.

He came out of his hiding spot His eyes red his face was stained with tears. He was holding Garrett in his arms.

That day I was no longer the fun-loving guy. My heart turned to stone. I was forced to become the Alpha of this pack and a father to my brothers. I had to change everything no one had respect and loyalty as they did for my dad. So I had to make them fear me and now I ran this pack with an iron fist no one dared say anything to me.

Sleep was not going to come easy I got up and grabbed a bottle of whiskey. Tomorrow was going to be a long day we had to go to the Blue River Pack the twins finally turned 18. I had been there countless times my mate was not there but Hunter had just turned 18 his mate may be there. They were having a big birthday ball inviting all the neighboring packs This is the best shot for him to find his mate.

I doubt the goddess blessed me with anyone for all I know she is dead. I didn't deserve happiness s**t even if I find her there's a good possibility she would reject me because of my reputation.

Shit I wouldn't even blame her for it. I place my hand over my heart I had 2 huge roses tattooed on my chest right on top of my heart that connected to my left arm where I had started a sleeve it's currently down to my elbow. It's a family tribute to everyone that sees it but too me it's a reminder of my failure.

I was brought out of my thoughts by the bedroom door opening and closing. I was about to get angry when I heard Garrett crying and yelling "Dad... daddy" he called. I got up and turned the light on lights as soon as he saw me he sprinted and jumped I caught him. I hugged him and smiled "hey buddy how many times have I told you I'm your big brother not your dad." I said gently while cradling him. " I know but I like calling you dad" he sniffed. "alright buddy whatever makes you happy... so what's wrong why are you crying?" I asked "I had a nightmare," he said "can I sleep with you? please" he asked. I laughed while walking to my bed. "Garrett aren't you getting a little old for this." I asked He shook his head and yawned and whispered "no I'm not 7 yet"... I smiled I should try to get sleep for tomorrow. is going to be a long day.

The next morning I'm awakened by someone poking my eye.

"morning dad!" he screamed and started jumping on the bed. "Garrett you know the rules stop that." I said I grabbed my phone it was 9am! I never sleep this late crap now I'm behind. I link Zack " Care to explain why I wasn't woken up?" I said...

"you forgot to set your alarms?" he said sarcastically

"Zack you would have come here looking for me like I don't know you." I spat back

"yeah alright I made the choice you need sleep and the little dude was with you. So I took care of this morning's duty."

"I appreciate you." I said

"Would it kill you to say thank you to me" he complained "yeah it would." I replied and cut the link.

I sent Garrett to get ready for the day it was Saturday we had a bunch of stuff to do. I called for Hunter "where you at?" I linked him

"Well good morning to you too brother. how are you ? oh that's cool me too" he said sarcastically with a laugh.

"I'm in my room" he said.

"you ready to go we gotta go get haircuts and pick up our suits for tonight. Have you eaten? we could stop for breakfast" I said.

"Can we get Starbucks and you have a deal." I shook my head "yeah it's a deal" I said.

"Can you make sure Garrett is getting ready? and I will meet you downstairs in 30 minutes" I said

"yup" he said.

Our relationship was a bit rocky at first I mean he was grown he remembers it pretty well. It took a few years but we were finally back on track.

I hate wearing suits and dress attire. Thank the goddess down today. I opted for some dark skinny jeans a black fitted v neck my trusted chucks and a light windbreak with a hood and a black beanie.

I get downstairs people always forget this is how I dress so I normally make it through without being bothered with Good Morning Alpha.

I get down stairs a decided to take The Mustang Mach 1. It is completely stocked Black on Black dark tint all around I loved this car.

The door opens. Hunter gets Garrett in and strapped In the pack then hops on the front and we take off. I loved taking this car to its full speed it was a thrill.

Hunter was staring at me and starts laughing. "what's so funny Hunt?" I said.

"You know I always forget you like to dress like a young youth pastor," he says. I crack a smile "I think you forget I'm not that old. Hunt" I said back.

I asked " you finally going to cut off the off the mop?" I asked He had it currently pulled into a ponytail.

"yeah I believe so I should try to look more Alpha right." he said

he looked sad. I looked back at Garrett and was entertained by a phone. with head buds in.

"telling what's going on hunt" I said.

"Enzo I miss my parents right now they should be here for this. Although I'm learning from you there is a hole." he said.

I felt so guilty "I know man I'm sorry it's my fault I should have been there for you guys... it wont happen again I promise I haven't broken it yet... Family above all always and forever." I said.

"Always and forever" he repeated

We went on with our the rest of the day.
