CHAPTER 4

I woke up to a severe headache my head is killing me, I opened my own, and clearly I wasn’t in my room, and I had little to nothing on, the T-shirt I am wearing is so short I could feel air touching my bare ass.

Good morning sunshine, I am sure you will be having a hangover, so I prepared this hangover soup for you. It might taste horrible, but believe me it works like magic.

Memories from yesterday started flashing back at me, how I threw up in his car and how he didn’t kiss me when I asked him to.

I felt my cheeks turn red, I took the soup from his hands and took a sip

I am so sorry about last night, I said

What about last night? He asked me.

I got drunk then threw up in your car, can I pay for the washing fee?

He laughs, why should you be sorry, I already called the guy that washes my car to come pick it up, he will be bringing it back soon, so I can take you home.

Oh I said, “I am the one who be apologizing I probably shouldn’t have ordered more drinks at the bar,” you should have told me you don’t drink that much

I looked down, still embarrassed about me asking him to kiss me. He sat down on the bed and held my hands.

Crystal I want you as my girlfriend he said, I want us to start something serious

I don’t think I am fully ready to go into a relationship

Why dear? He asked, his eyes looking like my answer hurt him.

Well, we are just getting to know each other, and it’s going to take more than one date for me to be your girlfriend

“If that’s the case, be ready for a whole loads of fun because I want you as my girl.” We can go on another date tomorrow or something, and you can probably just call in sick while we stay over at my place and get to know each other more.

As fun as that sounds I think I am going to pass I said laughing

Why? Come on it will be fun I will cook for you, we would Netflix and chill too, and you know just basically chill.

Ken maybe another time, I just got promoted I can’t be calling in sick just, yet you know, I stood up and started walking towards the bathroom before he finally convinces me,

“Okay, what about Friday,

No dear, I have work on Monday, I walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower.

After I finished bathing, he was still in the room

Can you leave the room, I need to dress up?

Can’t you change in front of me, you are my girl

Not yet, so move I said laughing, I dragged him out of the room gently and closed the door.

“If you are done, come outside, so I can drop you off,”

Thank you! I said, Luckily for me, my dress and panties already dried, so I wore them.

In front of my house

We were still inside his car, when Ben started the conversation “When are we going to see each other again." He said.

"Don’t know yet, maybe Friday or Saturday."

"Why Saturday or Friday?" He said I looked at his face and he had that expression that seem like he was really into me already.

"Well, I am free only on Friday and Saturday."

“ You know you are the managing director, you don’t have to go to work everyday plus you have a secretary.”

"Hmm, I know, but I don’t want to take that position for granted I worked really hard to get there, what kind of example will I be setting if I don’t show up at work when I just got newly elected."

"Come on, he held my hands you have to bring out time for yourself, you can’t just be at work all day."

"Okay!Thursday, we would see each other on Thursday I said defeated."

"Thank you babe,"Thursday it’s he said happily

I shake my head and opened his car door, okay until then dear

Bye, he said

Bye, I waved my hands while he drove off.

I went inside and changed my outfit and got ready for work, it was already 8:55 AM, meaning I am already late, Jane has already left my place.

When I got to work I saw Jane, and she gave me that I see you eyes, I just smiled and walked into my office

She came in with two cups of coffee later,

"Morning girl!" she said as she hands me one cup of the coffee

"Morning" I said sipping the coffee

"Sooooo..... Jane said starring at me like spill the gist"

"So what?"We both started laughing.

"Come on, girl, how was it?"

How was what I said? Playing dumb like I don’t know what she is talking about."

“How was the date?” she said, while she sat down.

Hmm, it was good.

"Just good?" She asked me.

Yeah, it was fun. We went to eat at a restaurant, and we went to a bar and had fun.

Wow, that’s nice, so why didn’t you come home I was waiting for you all night, so you can come gist me,

Girl like the drinks got me f****d up, I threw up on my clothes and his car.

She bust out laughing, Crystal that was like your first date since a long time, and you threw up in his cars,

"I know I was embarrassed, but he handled it pretty well. He wasn't angry or anything. I even offered to pay for him to get it washed, but he has already called the guy that cleans his car to come pick it up when I was still sleeping."

"Hmmm do you guys kiss or have s*x?"

"Girl quit playing, we didn’t do anything I even asked him to kiss me, but he said he wasn’t going to take advantage of me being drunk"

"Awwn he is so sweet, so are you guys like a thing now."

"No!! We are not, though he asked me to be his girlfriend, but I am

still taking my time."

“Well I think you should date him, I mean he is nice he is handsome, and you know he has money too he is everything a woman wants”

"Hmm, why don’t you date him then I said laughing you seem to hype him too much."

"Nope, he is definitely not my type, but if he was my type all these things you are doing I would have grabbed him for myself. We both started laughing again. You know who I actually like?"

"Who?" I am surprised you like someone, and you haven’t told me yet.

"I like James, Ken’s friend he seems like this cool guy those kinds of guys are my spec."

"Easy girl, when did you start liking cool guys, I thought you liked those crazy ones."

"Thought so to till I met him? Have you seen Sandra today?"

"No, why?" I asked.

“She came in dressed in Andrea Iyamah jumpsuit today, and she wore a black Christian Louboutin heels today. Like girl is trying so hard to be you. At this point, if she finds out Ken likes you, she might go for him too.

"She can’t get him! Ken doesn’t like easy to get girls, she screams cheap."

"Girl you already know his type you must like him, someone is falling in love." She said smiling and dancing.

"Stop playing!"

“I totally forgot I have some work to complete and compile, I will send them to you so you can sign them, catch you up later! She said as she left my office.

Bye, I said. As she left I felt uneasy thinking of what Jane said about Sandra finding out Ken likes me and going for him. That b***h can certainly do it.

I sat down on my chair, and spun around. At least I have my office now, and I don’t have to see her annoying face every time again, only doing general meetings.

I tapped on my phone screen and I saw 6 messages from Ken and I tapped on them smiling, can’t believe I am starting to like him.
