JANE'S POV

Cynthia told me about the restaurant her and Ken went to and how their food tasted so good, so of course I was going to try it out too, I decided to take Amy along with me.

We decided to try out their spaghetti bolognese with meatballs and pineapple juice. While we were eating, I was telling her about how I like James and all. She kicked me softly, I was like what?

“James just walked in, don’t look at the door, yet he is walking in, act cool.” James? Like girl, for real, is he looking over here? Is he with a girl?

Girl calm down, act cool and stop freaking out! He is looking around. I couldn’t stop myself from looking.

And he saw me and waved, he was looking so fine, his dark black hair always styled to perfection, his full subtle beard on his sharp jawline and amber gaze made my stomach jump in excitement. He started walking towards Amy and I smiled. He is also dressed in a perfectly tailored suit. What is this man doing to me? I am crushing on him so badly.

“Hello ladies,” he said as he approached us, he smells so good too,

Hey James, I said while Amy waves at him and said Hey to while she was using her legs to hit me softly, while giving me the side eye. This girl is crazy!!

“You look so beautiful Jane, like I haven’t seen you in any other outfit apart from office wear, and I must say those clothes are hiding a lot! I mean look at you, he said and peck my cheeks.

“Can I join you guys? A good friend of mine told me about here, and I definitely had to try it out since I was close by.

Sure! Of course, you can.

He draws out a chair near me and sat beside me,

Actually, my friend told me about it too, and I decided to come and try it out too.

“Oh really that’s nice, the waitress came, and he ordered the same thing we did

Do you guys want something else? He said.

No! We are cool. Thanks, we said together.

As we continued eating, we all talked about different things, and he told me he actually also has been noticing me at work and looking for the perfect time to talk to me.

Amy was just using her legs to brush mine softly, and giving me that he is feeling your eyes too

After we were done eating, we paid for our meals. He wanted to pay for me and Amy, but we insisted on paying for our meals.

We headed out of the restaurant, then I told him I was going back to work, and he asked me if he could get my number, I didn’t even let him finish asking before I collected his phone and put my number in, then he beeped my line and I saved his contact too. We said goodbye. Amy And I got into my car to drive back to work. I immediately placed a call to Cynthia to gist about how I met James, and we both have each other's contact now. We were happy and giggling like high school girls who just got asked out by her crush.

When Amy and I got back to work, I packed my cars and as we were both about to get down Sandra and one of her colleague Julia were gossiping about something we both decided to eavesdrop into their conversation while we were still inside the car;

Have you heard the news flying around? Julia said.

What News? Sandra asked.

“Like you seriously have not heard what’s going on? Well, I heard that Cynthia is dating the own of Oil Mines company.”

“Wait, you mean Cynthia, the arrogant b***h, is dating Ken?”

“Yes, I was shocked too when I heard it.”

“Ken is a big time player, so I am sure he doesn’t like her, he is definitely those smack and pass guys.”

“Are you for real? Well, he is so rich, I will definitely want to smash him too, like Cynthia is so lucky she gets promoted, and now she has a rich dude as her boyfriend.”

“Well guess what I will definitely smack Ken, that will be a slap to her face when I smack her dude.”

“Really, like girl go for him too. If I get a chance to be around him, I will too, I heard some blogs have written about this. I think it’s a publicity stunt.”

“Exactly, it definitely should be that girl would do anything just so the board can say while she was the managing director a lot of sales were recorded. Like that b***h is crazy, I know she is not the type of girl he likes, he likes them baddies.” Sandra said, and they both started laughing.

These bitches are crazy, Amy said. I pressed my car horn, and they screamed almost running in fear, then Amy and I came down from the car, their jaws were almost dropping.

Sandra rolled her eyes and her and Julia walked off, while we both started laughing at them.

“I don’t know why Cynthia hasn’t beaten this girl up yet, if it were me, I would have made her resign now after I have broken her nose or something.” Amy said.

“Can you actually believe I told Cynthia as a joke that if Sandra get to know her and Ken is a thing, she will try to throw herself at him? I didn’t even know like she would do it for real, this b***h is mentally ill or something.”

“Like for real, who hurt her? Well now we know her plan, we have to tell Cynthia.”

“Of course!”

We both walked in and went straight to Crystal’s office

“Morning” Amy said.

“Good morning, what’s good? I asked them.

“Everything was good until I met those little witches outside! Jane said I could swear I saw flames coming out of her nostrils.

What happened, I managed to ask them

“Just outside, Amy and I were still in the car when Sandra Julia were gossiping about you and Ken, they literally said Ken can’t date you and this is all a publicity stunt like those bitches get on my nerves.”

Are you just knowing how Sandra is, she is the one Ken can’t even date? I said laughing.

She actually said she blame on snatching him from you. Amy cuts in.

Well let her go for it, he doesn’t like her type let’s stop talking about her honesty, I don’t want my day to be ruined.

Hmmm… I guess you like him already. Jane teases me.

Nah… You guys should get back to work, they started walking out and Jane said while laughing, “have fun thinking about Ken”.

I rolled my eyes at her while having a stupid smile on my face.

“Byeee…” she said while closing the door
