Chapter 62: PLAN B
The man looked upon Joanna with contempt and told her to kneel. He planned to take her life, but he wanted to take her dignity first. Joanna knelt obediently. As Betty watched, she shook her head violently, and tears fell from her eyes in torrents. The other men drew nigh so that they could better see what was about to happen. Suddenly, Joanna heard a loud noise outside the room. It was the signal that she'd arranged for Ken to give when his men were in place, should they need to activate PLAN B. She stood up quickly and kicked the knife out of the man's hands, and at this exact moment, Ken's men poured into the room. Within seconds, the kidnappers were subdued.
