Chapter 3: There is no way out

2014 Words
My first kiss... It belonged to someone I was afraid of and never wanted to meet again. Firsts are never forgotten. I will never forget this moment in my life again. Maybe he wouldn't be the only man to kiss me, but this moment would always remain alive and fresh. I remained motionless as his lips kissed mine as if crushing them. Tears were flowing from my eyes too. Not because he had my first kiss, but because I was afraid of what he would do when he saw that it was me. His open threat to me was still ringing in my ears. On top of that, there was a man following me that I didn't know at all, and I didn't know why he was after me. While my hands were by my sides, his hands grasped my cheeks as if he wanted to pull me closer to him. He tilted my head to the side and created more space for himself. He acted forcefully, as if he wanted me to kiss back. As he tried to put his tongue into my mouth, he moved his hands down from my cheeks to my neck, and then my waist. He pulled me in forcefully. My whole body was pressed between him and the door. When I felt his masculinity against my femininity, a fire ignited in that area. That fire slowly consumed my entire body. First, it simmered, then it burned to ashes. In doing all this, he acted like a professional, someone who knew exactly what to do. I must admit, he was very attractive. He kissed me with a passion that someone experiencing their first kiss could never imagine. As he struggled to slip his tongue into my mouth, he finally succeeded. When he did, he explored every corner of my mouth with his tongue. He let out a hoarse groan. For the first time in my life, my womanhood throbbed and pulsed like a heartbeat. It grew more intense every moment I didn't respond. He must have sensed something was amiss because he pulled back his lips. As our breaths mingled, he composed his breathing. "Why aren't you kissing back? Didn't anyone tell you that by entering this room, you would fulfill my desires?" He didn't see me because the room was dark. He didn't know that I was the girl from that night; perhaps he wouldn't recognize me if he saw me. As I continued to stay silent, he grabbed my chin. With his lips close to mine, he demanded, "Are you mute? Talk to me!" in a stern tone. With my continued silence, his breathing grew more rapid. "Why are you silent?" he asked, his tone laced with anger. A sob slipped from my lips, prompting him to switch on the light. As he saw me before him, a flicker of surprise crossed his eyes momentarily. He couldn't grasp why I was there. He was already slightly intoxicated. Did he think he was dreaming? "What are you doing here?" he inquired. What should I tell him? Was I supposed to speak the truth? Would he believe me? I doubted he would. Leaving the room was out of the question. I couldn't bring myself to do it. His hand still gripped my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. "I-I!" As I began to speak, a glint of fire flashed in his eyes. I had angered him once more. He awaited a response from me, yet I had none to offer. "Stop stuttering! Who gave you permission to enter this room? What business do you have in my domain?" he demanded. His tone was harsh. His domain? Was that what he called this room? The implications... It exuded a distinct and ominous aura. "No one instructed me. I went on my own, unaware that you were in this room. If I had known—" He cut me off and spoke sarcastically. "You didn't know, did you? Victoria, do you see a fool standing before you? Do you think I'm a fool?" He recalled my name. Why did I fixate on trivial details? Lucas didn't believe me. Reflecting on him appearing in the room, I sought refuge in... was it due to my ill fortune? Or was it fate? What was the significance of encountering Lucas Morrison everywhere? As I remained silent, he continued speaking. While our lips were almost touching, he uttered, "So, you entered my domain of your own accord. I warned you, Victoria. I thought you were smart, but I was mistaken. You should have never come here, but since you did, you know exactly what I desire, because you also came here seeking it!" His insinuation... I immediately countered, "I didn't come here for that purpose." He let out a cold, mocking laugh. I persisted without dwelling on that conversation. "I swear! If I had known you were here, I wouldn't have come! Please, listen to me! I am telling the truth!" My words caused him to furrow his brow deeply. "Why should I believe a deceitful girl like you? It's evident why you're here. Don't worry, I'll give you what you desire! What you want is for me to f**k you." How could I have desired that when I couldn't even utter the word? I was certain my face was flushed with embarrassment. I gazed at him imploringly, shaking my head. "I came here because there are people chasing me. By chance, I entered this nightclub and subsequently this room." Typically, if we shared such a story with someone, it would be understandable for them not to believe it. Lucas didn't believe it either. He chuckled, the sound reverberating in the room. "Fine, you're lying. But do you truly expect me to believe such a tale? Are you babbling out of fear, or do you regret stepping into my domain? I know you're nobody's fool, but I'm baffled by your intentions right now. Victoria, what is your objective?" He wouldn't trust me. If you were Lucas, would you believe in yourself, Victoria? Honestly, I wouldn't. He was correct. "I swear—" Before I could conclude my sentence, he cut me off sharply. "Stop spewing nonsense!" he bellowed at me. He didn't believe me. Something had to change for him to trust me. As I prayed for a miracle, a knock on the door interrupted us. He quickly took hold of my arm and moved me aside before opening the door, shielding me from view. The door's opening only served to amplify the blaring music once more. How could they bear staying in such a place? Surveying the room, I noticed a bed in the center, a solitary armchair to the right, and a built-in wardrobe to the left. There was nothing else in the room. My gaze shifted upward, and I spotted the iron pieces. What could they be for? "What's the matter? Why have you come?" he inquired. "Dude, didn't you mention finding a brunette girl half an hour ago? I found someone fitting your description." Brunette? I questioned internally, but Lucas's sudden focus on me indicated that he might now believe my earlier words. Placing my hand over my heart, I took a deep breath. "I don't want her! Send her away!" "But, man—" "I said I didn't want her! Send her back! Now, leave," he commanded, forcefully shutting the door. Turning back to me, he urged, "Now, start from the beginning and tell me everything!" I was overjoyed that this unexpected turn of events had found me. "I don't know if you'll believe me, but I'll recount everything from the start!" As I narrated the events that had transpired, Lucas listened attentively, stroking his beard. Just as I was about to mention the man named David Thompson and his quest for a girl, we heard a gunshot from outside. Our focus shifted towards the source of the commotion. Immediately following the gunshot, the music abruptly ceased. Lucas's expression darkened. "What was that? Who dares to disrupt my establishment?" "Lucas Morrison!" The voice from outside belonged to none other than David Thompson. Lucas grew even more incensed. Did he recognize him? "What is this intruder doing here? How dare he enter this place? Wasn't his father's past actions sufficient? We settled that score, and now they're provoking us again?" Had they also had a history in the past? Where did my father fit into this? I found myself immobilized by the unknowns surrounding me. He distanced himself from me and retrieved a gun from the cabinet, securing it at his waist. "That man is here for me! He's the one after me!" Upon hearing this, Lucas attempted to comprehend the gravity of the situation. It was apparent that he was struggling to grasp the full picture. "Wait here! I'll return in five minutes! If you're gone, Victoria, I'll track you down! That's when things take a turn for the worse!" he declared before exiting the room. He shut the door firmly behind him. I couldn't go even if I wanted to. I don't know what that man would do when he found me. I was doomed here. At least Lucas now believed my account. I approached the door, pressing my ear against it. "What's happening here? Why are you intruding on my establishment?" Lucas questioned, his voice laced with anger. "I have no business with you! Someone I was after came here. We will take them and leave!" David exuded a remarkable level of confidence, displaying a boldness that allowed him to even criticize Lucas despite the circumstances. Lucas Morrison laughed. "And am I going to allow this to happen? Leave my establishment immediately! You have a minute to gather your men and depart! Otherwise, I will take drastic measures right here!" he issued a stern ultimatum. "Why? Who do you think you are? What can you do to me?" David retorted sarcastically. Was he genuinely unaware of Lucas's identity? "I am Lucas Morrison, son of Nicolas Morrison! I am now the new proprietor of the Darkness. I will do as I please!" Lucas declared authority. A tense silence followed his proclamation, sending shivers down my spine. "Wow! So you are the son of the Lord of Darkness! We settled the past accounts. If you don't want to reopen them, let me summon that girl!" I trembled. What if he complies? "Do you think I am afraid of you? Your threats won't intimidate me! Take your men and leave! You have no authority to summon anyone here! Should you attempt it, I will not hesitate to kill you!" Lucas declared firmly. "So be it, but I will take revenge on you. You've crossed the wrong person! You've just opened a can of worms! Let me introduce myself to you! I am David Thompson! Never forget this name! I will ensure you remember it forever!" "Escort David Thompson to the door!" Lucas's command was followed by the return of music. They departed. I let out a deep breath. As I paced around the room, Lucas appeared. "Is he gone?" I inquired. "He's gone," Lucas confirmed. I gazed at him with a sense of regret. "Well, you got into trouble because of me. Thank you." He regarded me mockingly. "Because of you? No! Don't overestimate yourself! I confronted him because nobody could come and disrupt my establishment like that! Do you understand?" I nodded in acknowledgment. "Nevertheless, thank you. You helped me." Despite his demeanor, I find myself expressing gratitude towards him. "I didn't help you, but I can if you want!" "Really? Can you do me this favor?" I asked hopefully, because I really needed someone's help. He chuckled lightly. "But every good deed comes with a price, Victoria. If you fulfill my request, then I will assist you." "What is it?" I inquired. Raising his index finger, he stated, "If you enter this room tonight, there is no way out. If you choose to stay with me tonight, right now, I can offer my help. The decision is yours!
