Chapter 4: Owns My Body

2037 Words
Despair... A person makes the most mistakes when they are desperate. It is when they feel the saddest and cry the most. It is in those moments that someone comes along and extends a helping hand. At that instant, great hope is kindled within the person, but it comes with an expectation of a response. Good deeds are often done selflessly, but not everyone operates on the same principle. You may agree out of desperation only to later wish you hadn't. The weight of regret sears your heart, soul, and mind, yet the past remains irreversible. Lucas Morrison exploited my vulnerability and presented me with an offer that I could not reciprocate for his kindness. His words reverberated in my ears and at the very core of my being. "If you enter this room tonight, there is no way out! If you choose to stay with me tonight, right now, I can offer my help. The decision is yours!" Yes, I was very desperate at that moment. There were men chasing after me, and I was unsure of their intentions. Most importantly, my family was not around, and I couldn't bring myself to sell my body to anyone. I couldn't do it because no one had touched me before Lucas Morrison. He stood there, arms folded, his right shoulder against the wall, waiting for a response from me. His eyes showed no emotion, they were empty... "What?!" I whispered, the only word that escaped my lips. He raised his eyebrows, a look of curiosity on his face. He approached me, and with each step he took, I found myself stepping back. He advanced towards me persistently. The corners of his lips curled up as my back met the wall. He came closer as my heart pounded as if it would burst. Placing his hands on either side of me, he said, "If you spend just one night with me in this room, you can be rid of the men chasing you. What do you say?" He seemed at ease, while my cheeks flushed both from his proximity and the offer he made. I wondered how many girls he had made such offers to. It was as if he could sense my thoughts, as if he was trying to persuade me. "You're the first, Victoria. I have never made this offer to any other girl who has entered this room, because this is a sanctuary, everyone comes here of their own free will." I swallowed hard. Was it fate that brought me here? I couldn't do it. If I accepted his offer, I would suffer for years. I couldn't betray myself like this. A tear rolled down my cheek involuntarily. I don't know if he noticed, but he was still waiting for my response. I couldn't speak, my throat was tight, and my tongue felt numb. "If you accept, they will never bother you again. I can make them disappear with just a word." Just as I was about to refuse, my phone started ringing. "Hurry!" he urged, and I quickly took my phone out of my back pocket. With that, he stepped back. I took a deep breath. As I looked at the phone screen, I saw that my father was calling. A smile spread across my face. Thank God nothing had happened to them. I answered the phone with trembling hands. "My daughter." When I heard my father's concerned voice, I quickly responded, "Dad, I was so worried. Are you okay?" I could sense my dad taking a deep breath before replying, "We're fine. Are you really alright? We were extremely worried about you. We thought those men had harmed you." I was about to inquire about the identity of those men, but now wasn't the right time. "I'm okay. I managed to get rid of those guys. Where are you now? Are you at home?" My eyes were fixed on Lucas Morrison. He was observing me intently. "We're in a secure location. I'll give you the address. Be cautious on your way here. We'll spend the night there and figure out a plan for tomorrow." "Alright, I'm on my way there." After ending the call, Lucas continued to watch me carefully. "Was that your father? What did he say?" he inquired. "I have to leave," I stated. He raised an eyebrow and let out a cold laugh. "So, you're not accepting my offer." I nodded hesitantly. "I-I can't accept your offer. I need to be with my family." Part of me was afraid he might try to force me to stay. "Okay..." I was surprised by his response, considering he had mentioned earlier that once someone entered that room, they couldn't leave. I feared he wouldn't allow me to go and would do something. His eyebrows furrowed deeply. "Why do you look like that? How do I appear to you? Everyone who comes to this room does so willingly. I don't do anything to anyone that they don't want. I made you an offer, but you declined. You're free to leave." I felt embarrassed, unsure of how to act. I didn't know him well, and his offer left a negative impression on me. "I-I didn't mean to offend you. I'm sorry. It's just that..." He cut me off. "No need to apologize. Where are you headed?" "My father will send me the location. He'll text me." As I checked my phone, I saw that my Dad had indeed sent the location, and it was quite far from where we were. "Alright, let's walk. My men will escort you to your destination." Lucas Morrison seemed to embody both darkness and light, a complex figure. I thanked him sincerely, "Thank you so much, Lucas." His expression shifted when I said his name. I noticed his Adam's apple move, but it was fleeting. Perhaps I misinterpreted it. "You're kind," I added. He chuckled, though his smile seemed forced. I truly wished to see a genuine smile on his face; I was certain it would suit him. If we had met under different circumstances, his charismatic presence would have been captivating. He was undeniably handsome. "Am I kind? No one is truly kind, Victoria. I'm not either. Actions can be deceiving. Remember that." He then opened the door of the room and gestured for me to leave. I walked ahead, and he followed behind me. As the irritating music began to give me a headache again, we blended into the crowd and exited through a different door. There were nearly twenty men in suits with earpieces, and luxury vehicles awaited outside. He was even more influential than I had realized. One of the guards opened the car door. "Get in!" Lucas instructed, and I entered the most luxurious vehicle I had ever seen in my life. Lucas motioned for his men to step back from the car and exchanged a few words with them. Then, he locked eyes with me as one of the guards closed the door. I continued to gaze at him, knowing that I was leaving but unable to forget him. He was the man who shared my first kiss, a moment that would be etched in my memory forever. Even if he didn't remember me, every time I heard news about him, that moment would resurface in my mind. As the car began to move, I instinctively looked back. Lucas remained in his spot, and another car joined ours. As we distanced ourselves, I turned my focus ahead. After some time, my phone started ringing. It was my father calling, undoubtedly concerned about me. "Dad, I'm on my way," I reassured him. "Victoria, don't come!" he whispered urgently. "What do you mean, don't come? Dad what's going on?" I asked, feeling alarmed. "They've found us, sweetheart. Don't come, save yourself!" His words filled me with immense fear, and tears welled up in my eyes instantly. Just as I was about to respond to my father, I heard a loud thud, indicating that the phone had fallen to the ground. "Dad!" I called out. The driver glanced at me, sensing something was amiss. Amidst my sobs and cries, I heard the voice of a man, David Thompson. How had he reached my father's location when he was with Lucas just moments ago? "Did you think you could escape from me, Ozer?" he taunted. I trembled in fear, and then I heard my mother's cries, my father's screams. "Take them!" David ordered. Then he demanded, "Find the girl immediately! I need Victoria!" As he spoke, the phone slipped from my hands and landed on the ground. I could hardly catch my breath, pressing my hand against my throat in panic. What was going to happen next? What should I do? The driver seemed to be speaking, but his words were lost on me. It was the sound of gunfire that jolted me back to reality. What was unfolding? "What's happening?" I inquired, fear gripping my voice. The car swerved erratically on the road, and the driver explained, "We're being followed, but stay calm. We won't let anything happen to you. Just keep your head down." My thoughts raced to my parents. That man had found them, and now they have found me too. I slumped back in the car seat, resigned to what seemed like the end for both myself and my family. As the gunfire intensified, the car picked up speed. At that moment, I was overwhelmed with regret for not accepting Lucas's offer. As the sound of gunshots intensified, the car picked up speed. I wished fervently that I could close my eyes and wake up from this nightmare... The driver was speaking to someone, but the gunshots drowned out his words. I covered my ears as the screeching of brakes and crashing noises echoed outside. When the car came to a halt, I cautiously looked up. Amidst the ongoing gunshots, I inquired, "Why have we stopped?" The driver exited the car without responding to my question. I hesitated to lift my head. After two minutes, the gunshots ceased, and the door opened. A stranger stood before me. They had ruthlessly eliminated everyone. "Get out!" he commanded, but I shook my head. "I won't get out. I won't go with you!" "Don't cause trouble! The boss is expecting you!" I felt tears streaming down my face as he spoke. Struggling to step out of the car, another man intervened. They took hold of my arm and guided me out. Through my tear-filled eyes, I could vaguely make out a figure—it was Lucas Morrison. I took a deep breath, realizing he had come to my rescue. As he approached me, his gaze locked onto mine. In a moment of desperation, with my family's safety hanging in the balance and the threat looming over me, I made a decision that I knew I shouldn't have. I had no other option. The man had the power to reach me at any moment. I knelt before him, meeting his gaze with a pleading look. "Help me. There's no one else who can help me but you." With a heavy heart and no other recourse, I found myself accepting Lucas Morrison's offer. He put my hand on my chin. "So no one can help you except me, right?" he asked with a devilish smile. "Yes, they kidnapped my family. They will find me too. Please help me!" "You know very well what I want from you, but that agreement remained in that room. Are you sure you still want me to help you?" I told him he was a good person, and he reminded me that no one is truly good. Not even an hour had passed, and he proved to be right. He wasn't an angel; he was the devil himself. He was one of the most dangerous men I had ever encountered, but I felt compelled to agree. "I'll do what you want!" "Can you really do whatever I want?" I nodded. "Yes, I do." "I want to own your body!" From that day forward, I willingly surrendered my body to him. It was no longer mine; it belonged to Lucas Morrison. He owns my body.
