Fia's Awakening
Fia's pov
The moment I stepped out of my bedroom, I froze.
Two suitcases stood neatly packed in the hallway. My suitcases. Every dress, every book, and every fragile piece of the life I'd built had been folded away without my knowledge.
A chill slithered down my spine.
"What is this?" I whispered.
Father stood beside them, calmly zipping the final suitcase with a sharp, decisive sound. He didn't even look at me.
"Alpha Kael arrives at dawn."
The words barely registered until he added, "You're leaving with him."
My heart slammed against my ribs. "What?"
"You belong to him now."
For a second, i couldn't understand anything. "What are you talking about?" I asked.
Mother stood a few feet away, wringing her hands so tightly her knuckles had gone white.
My sister lingered behind her, eyes fixed on the floor, refusing to meet mine.
Something was terribly wrong.
Father reached into his coat and pulled out several folded sheets of paper. My blood turned to ice.
No…
He tossed them at my feet. My own handwriting stared back at me. private, raw, and never meant for anyone else's eyes.
I bent slowly and picked one up, my fingers trembling as the erotic desires i had written on it stared back at me.
My hands shook violently.
"You…" My voice cracked. "You read my letters?"
"I did." he responded coldly.
I looked up at him in horror. "They were private father."
"They stopped being private the moment they threatened this family's reputation."
Tears burned my eyes. "I was confused, father. I began.
I was trying to understand..."
"You rejected every suitable Alpha and every future mate this family arranged." His cold voice interrupted before I could speak.
"I never rejected them because I loved someone else!" The words burst out before I could stop them. "I didn't even know what I felt!"
Father took one slow, deliberate step toward me.
"I refuse to spend another day listening to whispers that my daughter may prefer women."
Silence swallowed the hallway.
Then he delivered the final blow.
"So I made arrangements."
"Alpha Kael needs a pure-blood Luna. He also happens to be a man capable of taming disobedient wolves."
I stared at him, numb with disbelief. "You… sold me?" I asked with a cracking voice.
"I secured our future,Fia." he responded.
"You sold me because I might not love a man?"
"I would rather have a daughter married to the strongest Alpha in the North than one who becomes the laughingstock of every pack."
My breathing turned ragged. "You don't even know what I am yet."
"I know exactly what you are. Your letters said everything." he shouted, shoving the remaining letters on my face.
Shame burned me as I lowered my face.
"I don't want Alpha Kael!" I whispered.
"You don't have a choice."he replied coldly.
"I'm not breeding stock, Father!"
The slap that landed across my cheeks after that statement sent me stumbling backward and crashing onto the cold wooden floor.
For several long seconds, all I could hear was ringing.
Father stood over me, his voice cold and certain. "You should be grateful.
The Alpha can straighten out your confusion. He'll make a proper Luna of you."
Mother finally stepped forward. Her lips trembled as she leaned down and kissed my forehead.
"This is for the good of the family fia, listen to your father."
I jerked away from her touch. "No… don't touch me!"
Her eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry, Fia."
Then she turned. My sister followed silently.
The bedroom door closed behind them. The lock clicked.
The sound echoed through the empty hallway like the final nail in my coffin.
I stayed on the floor, chest heaving, as the full weight of what had just happened crashed over me. He had decided. Father had decided. And when Father decides something, no one—no one—could change his mind.
Not Mother. Not the elders. Not even the Moon Goddess herself.
A broken sob tore from my throat. Then another. And another. I curled into myself on the cold floor, shoulders shaking violently as hot tears streamed down my face, mixing with the sting on my cheek.
This can't be happening. This can't be real.
But it was. My entire future had been traded away because I dared to question who I was. For the quiet, terrifying truth that no matter how hard I screamed or begged, it wouldn't matter. I was already gone.
Eventually, I dragged myself up on trembling legs and stumbled back into my room. I closed the door and slid down against it, sobs still ripping through my chest in ugly, uncontrollable waves. My hands shook so badly I could barely hold my phone.
The only person I needed to talk to was Maya.
Me: Father found those letters.
The reply came almost instantly.
Maya: …What?
I stared at the screen through blurred vision, unable to explain any of it over text. Another wave of tears spilled down my cheeks as I typed with clumsy fingers.
Another message appeared.
Maya: Don't say another word.
Maya: Meet me at Club Eclipse.
Maya: Ten o'clock.
Maya: We'll talk there.
I wiped my eyes, but the tears kept falling.
Tomorrow… I would belong to Alpha Kael.
But tonight… for a few stolen hours… I still belonged to myself.
Tonight, I refused to disappear quietly.
I waited until the house slept, then slipped out the window into the cold night without looking back.
Club Eclipse pulsed like another universe fractured lights, bass throbbing through the floor like a second heartbeat, bodies lost in motion.
Maya found me instantly and pressed a drink into my hand. Then another. The words poured out: the suitcases, the slap, the feeling of being transferred like property, i told her everything....
Every single detail.
She listened without interruption, letting the storm rage through me. When I finished, voice raw, I whispered, "I just want to feel something real tonight."
Maya tilted her head, eyes gleaming. "Then stop existing like you're already gone." She pulled me onto the dance floor. "Dance."
At first, I resisted.
Then the music claimed me. My body moved, hips swaying, breath syncing with the relentless beat.
For the first time in years, tomorrow dissolved. There was only heat, rhythm, and release.
Until heat pressed against my back and a hand settled at my waist. The hands were firm, certain, not rough. My body froze even as my pulse spiked. Something about that touch made my wolf react.
I turned.
And there she was.
Her brows furrowed slightly, like even she hadn't expected to be seen like this.
Her eyes locked onto mine for a long moment.
I could swear i had never seen her before in my life.
"Who are you?" I asked, breathless, my voice barely cutting through the music.
She didn't answer immediately. Instead, she stepped closer, close enough that the noise of the club felt distant between us.
Then, softly. too softly, her voice came against my ear, lips brushing so close I shivered. "I came because you keep asking for something you don't have words for."
My breath hitched. "What?"
Her gentle fingers brushed my lips, like she was anchoring me. "Come with me."
I was frozen at the spot for a while.
I glanced back once, searching for Maya. She caught my eye from across the room, lifted her glass with an amused smile, and gave me a small nod as if to say, Go.
Before I could change my mind, the woman led me down a dimly lit hallway at the back of the club. With each step, the pounding music grew fainter until it became little more than a dull vibration behind the walls.
She stopped in front of a dark wooden door and pushed it open.
The room beyond was softly lit, the warm glow from a few lamps casting long shadows across the space.
The noise of the club disappeared completely as the door clicked shut behind us, leaving only the sound of my own unsteady breathing.
For the first time that night, we were completely alone.
The door clicked shut.
She turned fully toward me, and for a reason i could not explain, i fully took in the figure standing before me.
I couldn't stop staring. Those ice-blue eyes were dark with hunger.
Platinum hair framed her sharp cheekbones and full lips I wanted to bite.
Her t**s pushed tight against her dress, n*****s hard. Her hips curved like they were made to be grabbed. Her long legs looked strong enough to pin me down.
What the f**k is wrong with me? My thighs squeezed together. My p***y was getting wet just looking at her.
Why did her body, strong but so f*****g feminine. make me ache like this?
Then my wolf stirred inside me. She woke up fast, whining and pushing against my skin.
Her. Mine. The scent of pine, smoke, and raw Alpha power hit me hard. My wolf wanted to roll over and bare her throat… or bite and claim.
My back hit the bed. She held a black rope in her fingers, soft but strong.
"You're shaking," she said, voice low and dirty.
"No, i am not" I replied turning away from her.
"You are." She stepped closer. Her smell flooded me. My wolf howled inside, heat rushing between my legs.
"I'm not into women," I whispered fast, like it could save me.
She smiled, slow and wicked. "Then tell me," she breathed right against my ear, "what are you into?"
The question made my heart pound. No one had ever asked me like that. My wolf was practically purring now, desperate.
"I don't know," I admitted, voice shaky.
She leaned in. Her full t**s brushed my arm. Her body felt like fire. "Then tonight," she whispered, lips almost touching mine, "I'm going to help you find out."
