The beginning
Ariah cries the moment she realises that she was reborn. She was grieving for her baby. She really lost her baby.
“B-aby,” Ariah weakly whispered and held her stomach as if she was holding a precious gem.
“It’s my fault… I– should have been stronger for you. I was not able to protect you.” She murmured in between her sobs. She was totally lost in her world.
A knock on the door does not have an effect towards Ariah. She totally lost herself.
“Miss, you are asked by the madam for breakfast!” the maid shouted respectfully but Ariah was still just silently crying and looking outside the window.
“Miss?... Miss?” the maid scratched her head not knowing what to do.
The maid went back and stated what happened to Ariah's parents. They just shrugged and asked the maid to let her eat when she woke up. Ariah’s parents don't usually mind everything that Ariah was doing as long as it will not affect their name and it was enough that she is living.
Their family was not close but in the eyes of the people they seemed a perfect family. Ariah grows up together with her maids. She has a brother but they have a 10 year age gap that makes them usually not interact. They only give Ariah money to buy everything she wants.
Ariah also never had real friends. She has friends but it was only because of her money not because of what real friendship is all about. She is trying to be happy everyday but deep down she is alone and lonely.
Ariah fell asleep after crying so much. She locked herself for two days in her room. Although her parents tried to ask her the night of the first day, she just asked them to leave her alone. Her parents want to inquire but because of busy schedule they just let her be.
The night of the second day, she dreamed of a baby. She was happily waving at her. She was happy to see the baby but she wanted to carry her but the more she walked towards the baby, she was going away further and further. Ariah realised it so she just stopped and looked at her smiling.
She wakes up while tears are still running towards her eyes. She wiped her tears and looked at her face in the mirror. Her tears were red because of crying and her under eyes were also dark.
She took her phone and made a call.
“I want you to do something for me.” Ariah commanded.
“Whoa! Is that you? Whats with that cold voice? Do you want to become an actress?” Jerry playfully stated. He is considered Ariah's wing man. He does everything for money. Ariah usually contacted him if she wanted to know information about a person or to buy a limited edition bag.
“Are you going to do it?” Ariah irritatedly asked.
“Of course. How much?” Jerry seriously asked.
“Name your price.”
“What do you want me to do?”
“Buy me a spot in the Hill Stone Cemetery. Just put a tombstone but don't print anything. I want the most peaceful one near the mountain. Buy as much space as you can.” Ariah looked at the window and closed her eyes after stating her words.
“Are you planning to kill Vince of yours and bury him? Don’t you think you're very generous to even buy a space in the Hill Stone Cemetery for that i***t? Do you–”
“What are you saying?” Ariah couldn't help but be curious as to why Jerry would say that to Vince when they never met.
“What? You still love that i***t when you knew that he was a gigolo?”
“What are you saying?”
“Didn't you let me investigate the love of your life. Or you accept him—” Ariah finally understands something but she was getting irritated when Jerry always mentioned Vince so she cut him. She was cheated from the start of the relationship and she hates to admit it.
“Enough. Are you really a man? Why do you keep on talking? Just do what I just told you. I just sent you the money. Just send me the exact location after you're done. I want it as soon as possible.”
“Okay but—” Ariah just ended the call. She went to look for the folder that was given to her by Jerry. Back in her past life, after Jerry gave her the folder about Vince they lost contact and because of the sudden happiness she felt with Vince she never bothered to look at the folder.
She opened the first page and it was something she knew about. The basic information that was known to her back then. He was an orphan who was a scholar in an elite school. The next page is something that only Jerry was able to find.
It was something she never saw in their first year of being together. He has a criminal record and his parents are well known criminals but have been killed in an operation.
He also started to become a gigolo at the age of 15 even until now that he is 19. It was not even just one woman but two women simultaneously and that each doesn't know the existence of another.
Ariah nearly vomited because of what she read and saw. It was the detailed schemes of Vince how he met the two women and some of their intimate photos. She really felt stupid for what she did in her past life. She stopped reading the paper and put it in the trash.
Ariah went for a shower and got ready for school. She put on makeup to cover her eye bags and dark under eye. But the signs of her crying can still be seen but only if you stare at her for too long.
As soon as she stepped inside the school, she felt nostalgic and she was shaking not because of fear but of anger. In a few moments she will meet Vince again who is technically one of the reasons why her baby is gone.
“Ariah, why are you gone for two days? We felt incomplete while shopping.” Brenda pouted and acted cute in front of Ariah. Ariah was already in the hallway near the room but was blocked by Brenda and Stacy
Brenda and Stacy were her “friends” in school but in her past life they were the ones who also cut their ties with her when she was cut by her family and lived with Vince.
She smirked and just walked towards the room. Brenda and Stacy were pissed but they didn't want to lose their ‘wallet’. Although their family is rich, they don't get to have Ariah’s allowance. With Ariah’s generosity they were able to buy everything they wanted without spending their own money.
Ariah just doesn't want drama for now so she just enters her room which Brenda and Stacy do not want to enter. In their school, they have a star section which is for the intelligent student or the richest student which not everyone can enter not unless they were invited by a student in that room.
As soon as Ariah entered the room and took her seat Vince showed in front of her. She couldn't help but slap him. Her slap was so strong that its sound echoed in the whole room. All eyes were suddenly in them. Vince was totally enraged but he acted pitiful.
“Did I do something wrong Ariah? Do—”
“What are you saying? I was just trying to kill the flying insect. You know I hate insects. But suddenly you reach your head so I accidentally hit you. I’m sorry.” Ariah acted guilty innocent. It's as if you are looking at a girl who can never do wrong.
“It’s okay, I understand,” Vince smiled and Ariah also smiled.
“Yeah right. There is a big insect in my seat so get away.” Maria stated while mocking Vince. She was basically laughing at Vince. Vince awkwardly gets back to his seat in front.
Maria is a beauty with a boyish style of clothing but you can still see and feel the aristocrat she is. Maria is one of the aloof and has a mysterious background in their room and nobody does not want to be her enemy.
“Hey, I saw that,” Maria whispered to Ariah.
“I really thought you liked him. I know you're stupid but at least it was not that much right?” Maria innocently asked. Ariah got annoyed and remained silent.
“Fine. My fault. I’m Maria let’s be friends,” Ariah stared at Maria’s hand trying to shake her hands with Ariah. She just kept ignoring her but she just couldn't stop so she agreed. This never happened in her past life. She dont expect much from Maria but deep inside her she was really wishing that Maria is real.
When it was lunch time, Vince couldn't show his face to Ariah because of Maria which Ariah was thankful for. They had a peaceful lunch together. Before entering the room Ariah went to the comfort room to make a call. She locked the whole comfort room for herself.
“I want you to do something again.”
“As expected from my boss but before that I was done with the cemetery. I just sent you the details.” Jerry proudly stated.
“Okay. I will add your bonus. But for now, I want you to let Vince’s two women meet each other. And let us surprise Vince. Also, I want a lot of audience for them.”
“Sure boss. Do you want to add—”
“Just do it your way but make sure I will enjoy the show.”
“Yes boss.”
Ariah smirked, “ this is just the start. I will make sure that you will experience more than the pain I had experienced.”
She bumped with Stacy and Brenda as soon as she got out of the comfort room. They smiled at her but she just nodded to them. Technically, they've done nothing to her. But that's the thing, they did not do anything as her friend when she needed help the most and was only present when she was rich and generous to them. Ariah just doesn't want to be with people who are fake.
“Are you ignoring us?” Stacy asked. She is straightforward and the one who easily gets annoyed.
“Yes. I don't want to be friends with you two anymore?” Ariah answered. It was actually painful to cut off people in her life but it's for the best. Stacy and Brenda felt that there was something wrong but they never thought that it would reach the point of ending the friendship.
“What? Is it because you have Maria already that you don't want us anymore? Didnt you beg us to be your friend?” Brenda shouted.
“Yeah, I did. But now I won’t” Ariah smirked and walked away. She was hurt and she accepted it.
“It’s not what she meant A—”
“It is. Let’s go.” Brenda cuts off Stacey and pulls her away from Ariah. It's the end.
“Tsk, why do you always encounter trouble when I’m away?” Maria stares at Aria and pulls her towards their room.
“What do you need from me?” Ariah whispered as she looked at Maria pulling her inside the room. Wishing it was real.
